Sora, Hikari, Donald and Goofy ran over to where Ansem is standing.
"Take a look at this tiny place," Ansem said to Sora, Hikari, Donald and Goofy. "To the heart seeking freedom this is a prison surrounded by water. And so this boy sought out to escape from his prison. He sought a way to cross over into other worlds. And he opened his heart to darkness." He turned around, changed from his Riku disguise to his true normal self.
"Riku!" Sora and Hikari cried.
Ansem smirked at Sora and Hikari. "Don't bother. Your voices can no longer reach him where he is. His heart belongs again to darkness. All worlds begin in darkness, and all so end. The heart is no different. Darkness sprouts within it, it grows, consumes it. Such is its nature. In the end, every heart returns to the darkness whence it came.
Sora and Hikari jumped back as they saw Ansem teleport behind them.
"You see, darkness is the heart's true essence," Ansem said.
"That's not true!" Hikari glared at Ansem. "The heart may be weak. And sometimes it may even give in."
"Hikari has a point," Sora agreed. "But we've learned that deep down, there's a light that never goes out!"

Ansem starts levitating and gave Sora and Hikari a small glare. "So, you two have come this far and still you understand nothing. Every light must fade, every heart return to darkness!" He summons his Guardian and attacks Sora, Hikari, Donald and Goofy.
Elsewhere after Sora, Hikari, Donald and Goofy went after Ansem, Aqua and King Mickey arrived to look around.
"This is...where Hikari and I met those children," Aqua said, recognizing the Destiny Islands.
"So many worlds have been lost," King Mickey said. "And now they're trapped here in the dark." Then, he noticed that Aqua is recognizing the islands. "Wait—you know this place, Aqua?"
"Yes," Aqua nodded, recalling her encounter with Sora and Riku a long time ago. "Hikari and I visited once, and we met two boys I considered passing the Keyblade on to. But because Terra had already given one of them the power, I didn't."
King Mickey realized something. "Aqua. What were the boys' names?"
"They were...Sora and Riku," Aqua answered.
"I see," King Mickey nodded. "We're getting warm."
"Huh?" Aqua was confused.
"Welp, it's Sora, Hikari and Riku who've been helpin' me," King Mickey explained. "We're tryin' to get that door shut for good."
Aqua was surprised. "The same boys? And Hikari's with them?"
King Mickey nodded. "Aqua, if this is where Hikari and the others first got the Keyblade, it also must be where we'll find its counterpart. The Keyblade of darkness has gotta be here on the dark side of their world." Then, he and Aqua heard a rumbling noise. "We'll have to hurry. C'mon!" Aqua and the King hurried to the cave but the swarm of Heartless called the Demon Tide flew out and almost attacked both Aqua and King Mickey who summoned their Keyblades.
