As Riku keeps going to the next floor of Castle Oblivion, he saw Vexen appearing.
"I take it you're Riku," Vexen smirked.
"Are you with Ansem?" Riku asked, glaring at Vexen.
"You are half correct," Vexen nodded. "Let us say that he is not the Ansem with which you are familiar. He is Ansem and he is not Ansem. Perhaps a "Nobody" best conveys the idea."
"Riddles were never my thing," Riku said. "Try again."
"He belongs to neither the light nor the dark but walks the twilight between," Vexen explained and then laughs after Riku was confused. "Catching on now? Oh yes, you also stand in between the light and the darkness. It appears we have much in common."
"Maybe... Like you said, there really is darkness left inside of me. But so what? Darkness is my enemy!" Riku said as he summons his Soul Eater weapon. "And so are you for reeking of that awful smell!"
"Oh ho! So it's a fight you want," Vexen smirked. "Very good—I shall take you on!"

Vexen summoned his shield and fought Riku. He was impressed with his skills and laughed. "I find, coursing through you, there is a darkness of formidable power growing! Well worth the trouble of aggravating you. All this excitement has provided me with invaluable data."
"What?!" Riku looked surprised.
Vexen knocked Riku back and smirked. "Many thanks, Riku!" he said as he disappeared through the dark corridor.
Riku sighed. "It was a trick all along."
Elsewhere... Sora, Hikari, Donald and Goofy returned to Castle Oblivion, only for them to encounter another person in the black coat and this time it was a girl. The four summoned their weapons.
"I bet you work with Axel!" Donald glared at the girl in the black coat.
The girl smirked. "Too clever. I'm Larxene. So...are you two enjoying your stay at the castle? I bet it's nice to peel away all the worthless memories and awaken the true memories that lie deep in your hearts."
Sora and Hikari exchanges looks with each other and turns to Larxene. "True memories?"
Larxene nodded. "Although...it seems that you're still forgetting the most important thing here. When that poor girl hears that you two have forgotten her name, why...it'll just...it'll break her heart."
"Poor girl?" Sora and Hikari said at the same time.
"Do you know her?!" Hikari asked as Larxene giggled evilly.
"Is she...here?" Sora asked.
"Yes, she is," Larxene nodded as she starts explaining. "You see, the bad guys are holding her captive somewhere deep inside the castle. And you two obviously are the heroes, so you both have to go save her. Although..." She ran up to Hikari and attacks her, causing her to be knocked onto Sora. "I'M a bad guy, so you have to go through me!"
