Running down the hallway to the stairs til the the 26th floor was not an easy job. Actually today the elevator decided not to work and that's why right now I 'm panting in the office doing my best to catch my breath. No doubt I look like I just came from the worst storm in history.
"What happened to you?" Seth asked once I was inside our office. A puzzled look in his expression.
"T-the ele-elevator wasn't wo-working." I said while breathing heavily.
"What?"
"The ele-" I tried again but he cut me off.
"I heard what you said. What I mean was, why didn't it work."
I didn't even reply because I was panting really hard that I think I was going to pass out. Suddenly a hand was both on my shoulders. I looked up to Seth confused but he just gave me a smile.
That smile....It looked really good on him. If only I knew that me panting was the cost of his gorgeous smile then I would've climb the stairs over and over again. It was like he read my thoughts because he grinned wider.
"Take a seat Dani." He guided me to the sofa in his office and let me sit down with him on my side still facing me. "Okay, now I want you to close your eyes and calm down." I followed him and closed my eyes. "Now, exhale and inhale calmly....Good girl...exhale and inhale....good now repeat it until you're completely calm." I did what he told me and after a minute I was so calm no one would've never thought of me running from the first floor to the twenty-fifth floor.
"How did you know what to do?" I asked. He moved his hands away from my shoulders and shrugged.
"I learned it from one of my classes in highschool." He hesitated.
I just nodded. "So the reason why I was running to get to you is because Mr.-"
"I'm going out for coffee, do you want to go with me?" he said completely cutting me off.
"Sir it's pretty urgent, and besides I can just go and get you some coffee." I exclaimed.
"Everything that happens in the office is pretty urgent and right now I wouldn't want you to get coffee for me. Now would want to go with me or not?"
"But sir my shifts no over yet." I tried to reason out.
"I know that and besides I'm the owner here who could possibly scold you for not completing your shift other than me?"
I sighed. There's no point in arguing with him so I just nodded and told him to wait for a minute to get my things.
We arrived at the coffee shop ten minutes later. I ordered for the both of us while he went to go find us a table.
I paid and thanked the lady at the counter when she gave me our coffees. I looked around the coffee shop and found him by the table in the far right end corner. He was busy typing with his phone that he didn't see me approaching until I came to our table and sat across him.
"Here's your coffee." I gave him his coffee and he mumbled a 'thanks'.
"Wanna get out of here?" He asked.
I stopped sipping my coffee and looked at him. "What? I thought you wanted coffee?"
"Yeah and now I got it, I wanna get out of here. I know a place I think you would love." He grinned at me.
"Ummm...okay..." I trailed off.
He surprised me when suddenly he took my hand and almost dragged me to his car.
"Your house?!" I shouted to him.
We were standing outside his door right now while he was getting his keys from one if his pockets. He didn't answer me. Instead he unlocked his door and led me inside.
We went to the kitchen and I sat on the counter while he was looking something in the cabinets.
"Seriously Seth, what're we doing here?"
"We're going to bake." He stated without looking back at me.
"Bake?" Now this got my attention. I always loved to bake or cook. Mother said that I was great at it before and thankfully it didn't go away. I learned a few recipes here and there.
"Yeah. Don't you like that?" This time he turned to me.
"No! I love it." I exclaimed before he changes his mind.
"Okay then....oh here they are." Then he took out the ingredients and them on the counter.
"Ummm...you don't really expect me to bake with business clothes right?"
"You can borrow some of my clothes if you want."
"No, actually that's just perfect." I smiled.
He gestured for me to follow him to his room. I don't know why but just thinking of being in his room made me nervous as hell and that is just what I'm feeling.
He opened the door to his room and went to his closet. His room is just like him. Dark, neat and luxurious.
"Here." He gave me a shirt and a pair of shorts but what I noticed is that they were for girls. Does that mean this is from the women who he had some relationships with? Maybe sensing my confusion he answered my question. "Don't worry, they're from my sister. Sometimes she leaves her clothes in here everytime she visits." Oh.
"Thanks." I mumbled.
Then we headed back to his kitchen to start baking.
****
"No! That's not right." I said.
"Of course it is!" He fired back.
"No it's not."
"Yes it is."
"NO!"
"YES!" I exclaimed.
Just when he was about to say something again, his phone rang.
He teasingly glared at me one last tine before answering his phone and going to the living room. I rolled my eyes at his childishness.
I continued our baking session while also waiting for him. He came back a few minutes later his face emotionless.
"What happened?" I asked worriedly.
"It's nothing." he said flatly.
I know it's not nothing but I didn't push it either since I knew he doesn't want to talk about it.
Then he smiled.
"Now where were we?"
****
I was waiting for him in the dining room while sitting in one of the chairs when his voice suddenly boomed throughout the house.
"Chocolate cake with nutella frosting is served!" Seth shouted appearing from the kitchen.
"Yay!" I said excitedly like a kid on Christmas morning.
He placed it on the table and I sat up to get some plates. I came back a couple of minutes after.
I set the table and then we started slicing the cake and started eating our delicious dessert.
"Oh my god. This is good." I moaned. Seth just hummed in reply.
***
"Thanks for the ride." I said once we came to my house's driveway.
"No problem." He grinned.
I waved at him and started walking to the house. I waved at him one last time before going inside.
Well what turned out to be out for coffee ended up in his house baking. We had so much fun that we didn't even noticed the time passing by. Well, I don't care. At least I had fun.

Romance"Why didn't you just tell me." I look into his eyes and wish I haven't. It was so full of hurt and I didn't like it. "I can't Dani," he answered lowly. I took a step forward and cupped his cheeks. "I would have believed you. You know I would...
