After washing our dishes, I went back to the room and showered. Seth went to the office for awhile since he forgot some things last night and needed to get it.
When I stepped out of the shower I directly went to his drawer, finding his sister's clothes. When I found them on the last drawer I looked through them. A cute shirt caught my eye. It has "Keep calm and Love me" on it that I instantly loved it. I took out some short and then put them on. When I was down with my appearance I went out the room and found Seth watching TV. I plopped down beside him and watched.
"Where are we going today?" I asked.
"The beach." He responded.
"What? Then what are we waiting for? Come on!" I exclaimed while pulling him off the couch.
"Someone's excited."
"Well duh. Its the beach!" I jumped happily.
"Aren't you gonna grab some clothes?" He asked.
"Oh. Right. Well, just stop by my house for awhile." I answered.
When we came to my house, I bolted to the door and to my room. I was almost done when I heard my mom's voice.
"Dani? Is that you?"
I sighed. "Yes mom, it's me."
"Oh my god! Where have you been? I was worried sick!"
I turned to her and gave her a blank look. "I'm fine mom. I was just with my friend." Well I wasn't exactly lying.
"Why didn't you call or text?"
"I'm a grown woman mom. I don't need to keep in touch with you the whole time!" I was becoming more and more irritated at the time being. I know it's not exactly her fault but I just can't help it."Look mom, I gotta go." I took my belongings and ran out my room 'til I'm out the house.
I feel bad for lashing out on her like that but I can't help but feel like they don't care. I know I need to apologize later but right now I'm just gonna go have some fun.
"Ready?" Seth asked when I came back.
I nodded and said "Yeah"
The ride to the beach was silent but I didn't care. I was just too caught to my own thoughts that I didn't even realized we arrived.
"Hey we're here." Seth announced.
"Oh." Then got out the truck. Yes, we were using his truck right now and not his Lamborghini.
I ran to the shore and perfectly hearing his chuckle behind me. When my feet touched the water I inhaled the air around. Hmmm so relaxing.
"Sorry to break your world, but if you really want to go for a swim then we must get changing." I glared at him but obeyed.
An hour later we were both swimming in the sea. Or if I could put it, splashing each others face with saltwater.
"Mind if I join you?" A familiar voice said.
I turned around and saw Jared.
"Jared!" I exclaimed then went to hug him. I heard Seth grunt on the background.
"Excited to see me ey?"
I just grinned. Then when he saw what I was wearing he too-like Seth when he first saw me- shamelessly checked me out. If you were wondering what I was wearing. Well, I'm wearing a bikini or at least you could say that.It's like a bikini but my lower outfit is shorts. Bikini shorts.
Seriously, it's not that sexy.
"Done checking me out yet?" I joked.
"Nope."
I groaned then went back near Seth so my body is dipped in the water.
"Really, it's not that hot." I muttered under my breath. Unfortunately, Seth heard it and chuckled.
"Trust me, it is." He stated.
I blushed and tried to hide it when I dipped my head in the water. When I feel like I already calmed down. I went back up.
"You know if you weren't gonna come up another second we would've thought you died." Jared commented.
Typical them.
For the next passing hours, all we did was splash water to each other or run around while trying to catch one another. All the time, we were laughing. I felt so free for the first time in a long time.
We decided to stop when it was already getting dark. When we were already on our way home we stopped at a pizza shop.
"What do you want to order?" Seth asked.
"Chocolate milkshake and Hawaiian pizza please." He nodded and ordered that.
"What you're not gonna ask me what I want?" Jared said feigning hurt.
"Fine. What do you want?" Seth irritated.
"Don't have to be so mean. But I'll just...get what you get then!" He grinned and I laughed.
Seth rolled his eyes and told the waitress to double his order. Ten minutes later, our food arrived. As soon as it came, I dived in. I'm that hungry.
"Easy there tiger." Seth commented.
Jared faked gasped. "You did not just say that! Don't comment on girls while they're reunited with their beloved food!"
I gave a thumbs up to Jared and glared at Seth. He just rolled his eyes in return.
When we're done with our pizza we went our separate ways. Me with Seth while Jared with himself.
He pulled in front of our house. For a moment, we were just sitting there quietly. Remembering what happened awhile ago.
"So here we are." He said breaking the silence.
"Thanks. I had fun and I'm sorry again for what happened last night."
"That's fine. Like I said, that's what friends do. So feel free to come to me or my house. But next time, please at least inform me."
I laughed. "Okay. Bye."
"Bye. See tomorrow."
I waved at him then turned around and walked to my porch. Before I came in I took a deep breath. Then opened the front door to my house.
When I walked in it was quiet. I looked around but found no one. I guess they're already asleep. Quietly, I went up my room. I automatically plopped down to my bed. Before I knew it I already dozed off to sleep.
"You can't leave me!" He said angrily.
"I'm not leaving you. I'm just going to New Jersey for a month. Then I promise I'll come back." I defended.
"Why can't you just stay here." This time his tone wasn't angry anymore. It was sad.
"I already explained to you. Besides, a month is not that long." I said going near him and cupping his cheeks. He looked at me and I almost cried at the sight. He looked so vulnerable.
"I know. I'm just scared."
"What are you scared about? Monsters? Coz you know I could kick their ass anytime." I joked. He didn't laugh and I knew he was serious.
"You." Me? He's scared of me? "What if you'll find someone there? Someone better than me." Oh. So that's what he's scared about. How freaking cute.
"Don't worry. I wont." I reassured him. Even the thought of me being with another man hurts.
He smiled but still didn't reach his eyes. So I kissed to let him know how serious I really am then he responded quickly. I knew from that moment that we were gonna be fine and any obstacle that will come our way will be easily solved because no one is leaving the other.
Oh, how wrong I was.
