We went in the house and followed Grandma to the living room,"William and I will set up the table, both of you could go up to Noel's room."
"Don't worry, we wouldn't take long," Gramps said as Nolan and I walked up the stairs,"And be safe! I wouldn't want to have my great great grandchild this early!"
"Gramps!" I complained while Nolan just chuckled.
I led him to my room, well actually walk to my room with Nolan following me in my back but yea.
I walked in my room and hopped on my bed while Nolan walked, in looking around. Soon, he sat beside me on my bed.
I'm in a bed. With Nolan Anderson.
"You realize that you're hair is a mess right?" He said, making me start thinking of ways to kill him. Yet, he was right - the rubber band was loose and a lot of my hair was falling out.
"Hm," I said as I stood up to go to the mirror not far from my bed to fix my hair. I pulled out the rubber band and started gathering up hair to tie back. All of a sudden, Nolan's hand grabbed my wrist. I turned to look at him and he had this look.
"What?" I asked.
He stayed silent and it was getting creepy. He pulled down my hand, making my hair fall to my shoulders. He then pulled the sleeves of my sweater, exposing my bare skin and the cuts that haven't heal.
He looked up to me, his eyes filled with confusion and worry.
He saw my cuts. No one ever sees it, let alone notice anything wrong with me.
"Noel, are you okay?" he said sounding worried.
Nolan Anderson was worried about me. The bad boy - or I'm guessing that he is but yeah - is worried about a nobody like me.
"Yep," I said popping the 'p' while pretending like nothing has happened,"I'm perfectly fine," I confirmed before I pulled back my sleeves and continued to tie my hair.
The good thing was by the time I was done, Grandma called for dinner and Nolan didn't bring up about the cuts. Phew.
We sat on the dining table with Grandma's famous home-made lasagna on our plates.
"So, what brings a handsome young man here with our little Noel?" Gramps said while taking a bite of his lasagna.
"Gramps!" I complained.
"We went to the mall, I broke her phone earlier so I changed it into a new one," he said casually while eating his food,"this taste amazing."
"Well, thank you," Grandma thanked,"so you guys were going on a date?"
I chocked on my lasagna and took a drink to clear my throat while Nolan chuckled,"Oh no no, I just changed her phone and we just hung out. You know, since she's new here and I would like to show her around."
"Oh how sweet of you!" Grandma said dreamily.
"So, where do you live?" Gramps asked while munching on his lasagna hungrily .
"A couple of blocks away, not that far from here," he replied casually before taking another bite of the cheesy lasagna.
"How about your parents?" Gramps asked again, is this turning into an interview or something?
I realized that his eyes changed, looking a little upset. He then swallowed the food roughly, is there a problem with his parents?
"Well, the usual," he said turning back into his normal mood.
Dinner went on with me staying silent and nodding when necessary, Gramps asking more questions, Nolan answering them casually and Grandma adoring Nolan's features.
