I turned around and met a pair of blue eyes blue eyes, a smile formed in my face, "Gramps!" I said.
"Noel!"Gramps said,"Julia, she's here!"
All of a sudden a beautiful old woman that has blonde hair with some white streaks and hazel eyes came to sight.
"Grace! You've grown so fast!" She said, embracing me to a hug. Grandma rarely call me by my first name, she said that she liked my middle name better.
After hugging and talking a bit, we sat on a table outside. Grandma and I chatted while Gramps ordered something for me to eat; which was fries.
"You're so thin! You should eat more!" Grandma said, I replied with a smile and ate my fries.
As I said before, I've lost my appetite since a horrible incident happened, I was always sad and depressed since then. I was alone and had nobody by my side, I always thought that I would be used to that, but no, it just got worst each day.
When I finished my fries, we went to the car and drove to the house. The drive was silent, with a couple of conversations.
I stared at the window and watched as trees, road signs, and people pas by. My brain started to ramble and bring back memories and events that had occurred in the past, making me experience a sudden headache.
I leaned my head to the window and closed my eyes; attempting to forget everything and calm myself down.
All of a sudden I remembered about that boy who I ran into earlier. I started to remember his green eyes; to be honest, his eyes was stunningly beautiful. It was filled with guilt after breaking my phone, but there was a tint of excitement and anticipation in his eyes. Why was he in such a rush?
I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts, why should I care?
We pulled into the driveway and went inside, the house was dustless and neat, as usual.
"You look very pale, you should take some rest," Gramps said as he helped me bring my luggage to the 2nd floor, where my room is.
He opened the door to my room and placed my bag, "This is it,kid. Get some rest, school starts on monday." He patted my back as he walked down stairs.
I sighed as the thought of school filled my mind. I always hated school. I always thought the idea of school is just stupid. Yes, I do want to learn and be smart or whatever. But who pays to wake up early in the morning then getting scolded at and get tasks and getting judged. It's just stupid.
I close my door and take in the view. A bed, a bookshelf, a tv, a window, a bathroom and a closet. Not much but it looks comfortable.
I dragged my bag to the side of my bed and sat on the edge of my white sheeted bed. I stared blankly at the room for a moment before I stood up to take a long hot shower.
When I was finished with my shower, I put on some long sleeves pj's and some sweat pants. I didn't tie my hair and let it dry naturally.
I was planning on unpacking, but being the lazy loth I am, I decided to lay down and stare at the ceiling. My brain started scribbling thoughts.
I sighed at the thought of having to go to school on monday. I didn't even know what school I will be going to, or even where. I would probably try to go unnoticed, it's senior year anyway, it wouldn't be a problem after all these years.
I closed my eyes, trying to clear the thoughts out of my mind. "Do you want me to help you unpack?" Gramps said, after knocking a tune on my door.
I opened my eyes and sat down,"Sure."
He went in and sat beside me,"I know its hard, kiddo. But you'll get used to it here, okay?"
I nodded.
"Let's unpack!" He said as he stood up.
It only took us about an hour to unpack, since I didn't have that much things. And by the time we're done, dinner's ready.
"So, you ready for school tomorrow?" Grandma asked as she took another spoon of her soup.
My eyes widden,"Wait, wait, school starts tomorrow?!"
"Yeah, I told you, school starts on Monday," Gramps said, adding some more to his plate.
"So today is sunday?!" I asked in shock.
I thought today is a Saturday..
"Yes sweety, today is a Sunday," Grandma said.
Bah..
After we finished eating, I helped Grandma wash the dishes and clean the table.
"Noel," Grandpa said as I was walking up stairs,"this is your schedule for school, Grandma and I picked it up for you a couple of days ago," he said handing me a file,"take some rest."
I smiled at the old man,"Thanks, good night."
"Night."
I went inside my room and skimmed through my class schedule, I have math tomorrow?!
I never liked math, I used to but that was when I was in primary school. When it was only adding fractions, decimals and all those easy stuffs. Man, things changed over the years.
I put my folder down and stared at my pale while celling, and looked down and saw the same pale while color on my walls. I should change it someday, I noted to myself before I drifted off to sleep.
