Being Adrian's girlfriend was okay. It wasn't bad. In fact, he treated me well, says nice things, care about me and all that stuff. I bet any girl would flip to be his girlfriend. Although we've been dating for three weeks or so now, we haven't kissed. He probably would only kiss my cheek or forehead.

And I want it to stay that way.

I don't feel a strong affection towards Adrian in that way. I classify him in a more brotherly way, not the boyfriend way. I felt bad for dating him. But I don't have the guts to tell him.

The whole school knows, and was astonished. Jazz was icky at first but she's okay with it by now. Nat had been silent with this, it's like he had un-friended both Nolan and Arian. It's sad to remember how close they were and ho they're practically strangers now.

Nolan has been acting colder and colder. He would ignore everything, even Jaz's babbling. He looked tired, with dark circles under his eyes. I often caught Nolan staring blankly whenever Adrian and I ware together.

I don't know why.

----

"I think Nolan and I wouldn't last any longer?"

I looked over to my right, where Jazz was staring into space. It was currently a Friday, Jazz and I had free period so we lounged in one of the indoor bench.

"Why?" I asked.

She let out a frustrated sigh as she ran a hand through her straight blonde locks. "Like.. he doesn't care. I mean, since the start, Nolan hadn't been the most caring person but like a couple of days after he asked me to be his girlfriend it's like he's not even there."

What she just said was true, Nolan has been off these days.

"I like him, Noel, I really do. But, he doesn't even care." She said, looking at me with glossy eyes. "I don't know what to do."

"Ask him?"

Jazz leaned back on her seat. "I don't kno-"

She was interrupted by the sudden ring of the school bell, signing the end of school. In fact, today was the last day of school, since we will be having Christmas break. Both of us stood up and I slung my backpack on my shoulder. From the crowd of students, I could see Adrian approaching us.

"Just ask him." I said before walking to Adrian.

Adrian smiled at me. "Hey." He slipped his hand to mine, it had grown to be a habit. I gave him a small smile before we start walking out of the school building and to his car.

"I want to take you out today." Adrian said, glancing at me from the driver's seat.

"I have work, remember?" A few days ago, I got a call by my boss, telling me that the Diner was done with the renovation and is now open.

He shrugged. "We can go after, right?"

"Okay."

---

I walked out of the Diner and to Adrian's car. He insisted on waiting for me to finish my shift. I opened the door of the passenger's seat and went in. Adrian was watching some youtube video on his phone.

"Good to go?" He asked, shoving his phone back to his pocket. I nodded.

I have no idea where we're going. I've learnt that Adrian wasn't the fancy snancy type of person. He prefers to go watch a movie or eat something simple. I didn't mind.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Are you hungry, hun?" Adrian would call me with names like 'hun' or 'sweetie' some of the time.
