"Are you sure that this is a good idea?" Nolan asked, taking the bouquet of flowers from me.
"Yes, Nolan." It was the day after Nat and I went to Nolan's house to 'talk' to him. Nolan and I are currently in front of the Brown's.
Nat decided it's best to surprise Jazz and make Nolan to show up at their doorstep with some flowers. Nolan tried making some excuses like 'how if she's not home?' and 'how if she's allergic to flowers?'
But Nat just shrugged him off and told him to, I quote; shut up and just get the shit done.
But anyway, the plan was for Nolan to randomly show up at their front door with flowers and to apologize for what he have done–the reason was he have been stressed out with school and stuff. Then, he'll proceed to ask Jazz to go out with him on a date tomorrow.
"Can't you just stay?" He pouted to me.
I shook my head. "Nope, it's between you and Jazz, I don't want to ruin it."
He tucked a strand of hair that escaped my ponytail behind my ear. I felt slightly awkward from our closeness for some reason. "You're not gonna ruin it. I'm doing this for you, remember?"
I sighed, can't he just let that go?
"Okay then, I'm going to go home, good luck." I said, opening the passenger's door open.
"You don't want me to give you a ride?" Nolan asked, he has been asking a lot of questions lately.
"No, just do it, yeah? See you later." I said before slamming the door shut and starting to walk back to the house–which isn't the brightest idea since it's freezing cold.
I hug my coat closer, feeling the snowflakes falling down at me.
Walking was definitely not the brightest idea.
My lips started to chatter slightly from the coldness and the wind. My whole body felt numb from the cold.
A few moments later, I heard a honk behind me. I ignored, thinking it was Nolan or some random person. I kept walking and suddenly a pair of strong arms was wrapped around me.
I screamed, thinking it was a burglar. "Shh, you're freezing." Adrian's voice said. "Why are you walking in the freezing cold, huh? Let's get in the car, yeah?"
I nodded, unable to say anything else, since I was literally frozen.
He guided me to his car, once I was seated on the passenger's seat, I blasted the heater so that I would warm up a bit.
Moments later, Adrian plopped down on the driver's seat, holding a big red and white varsity jacket. He placed the varsity jacket over me, I hugged the jacket that smells like him closer to me.
"I can't find a blanket, sorry."
I smiled at him. "It's fine, thanks."
"No problem, sweetie." He said and kissed my forehead. "But don't try walking out on the cold again, yeah? I don't want you getting sick."
Adrian is a really good person, he cares and he's nice. And I felt that I really should be a little more grateful that he's my boyfriend. Any girl would want to be in my position right now.
"No promises." I joked.
...
"OMG Noel!" Jazz screamed a little too loudly.
I pull my phone slightly away from my ear, so that I wouldn't be deaf from all the screaming that's coming from the other line.
It's currently later on in the day, I was back home in my room. After Adrian found me in the cold, we went to my Grandparent's house and drank hot chocolate whilst watching a movie.
