Kian's POV
I woke up and didn't want to wake Kenzie yet. I wanted her to be well rested for our date tonight. I kissed her cheek and got up and went down stairs. I made some breakfast for me, Kenzie, Jc, and Lauren since she spent the night last night. I made eggs and bacon when I saw someone come downstairs.
"Hey Kian." Lauren said.
"Hey." I said making plates.
I gave one to Lauren and took one for myself. We sat down at the table and ate the food.
"So y'all have the date tonight?" Lauren asked.
"Yea. Don't tell her this, but I'm taking her to the beach and we are going to walk down for a while where Jc will have put a picnic basket full of food and towels. But don't tell her about it."
Right as I said that Mackenzie walked down the stairs and came up behind me.
"Don't tell me what?" She asked hugging me from behind.
"You'll see on your date." Lauren said.
"Lauren!" I shot a look at her.
"What!? I didn't tell her what you were doing." She said so only I could hear her.
"Okay whatever." Mackenzie said and kissed my cheek.
She walked in the kitchen and got a plate. I put my empty plate in the sink and then followed her back out to the table.
"Yum!" She said taking a bite.
She ate and then put her plate in the sink as well. I went upstairs to my room when I heard Lauren say something to Kenzie.
"Go get ready for your date, it's gonna be fun!"
Kenzie soon after came into my room. I was shirtless and she just stared.
"Sorry." She said.
"You like what you see?" I laughed going over to her and wrapping her in a hug.
"So our date is supposed to be 'fun'." She said.
I laughed. "Yea. I told her my plans and she wasn't supposed to tell you anything, but she kinda did."
She looked up at me. "She didn't tell me enough because I still don't know what we are doing."
"Good." I laughed.
Mackenzie got on her tip toes and kissed me. I kissed her back and pulled away.
"Save that for later." I said.
"Damn Kian. What are we doing on that date?" She laughed.
"Going somewhere fun. Now get dressed. We gotta go soon."
"Already? It's noon." She said.
"Yea. We are going to the grove with some of my friends and then we are starting our date." I said.
"Okay. I'll get ready."
"Wear something comfortable like shorts and a tank, but bring a sweater." I said.
