Lauren's POV
I woke up in the morning and got out of bed. Jc's stuff was laying all over the floor. I had talked to him about this multiple times since he started living with me.
I walked downstairs and there was an empty liquor bottle lying on the counter along with a couple of red solo cups. I rolled my eyes at this sight. His drinking has increased too. We had many arguments now and things were slowly going downhill.
"Jc!" I yelled upstairs.
I didn't get a response so I went upstairs. I saw him sitting up and rubbing his eyes.
"Yes babe." He said and gestured for me to come over to him but I didn't.
"My house is a mess." I said.
"I'll help you clean up." He said.
"No, you will clean it up because it is your mess." I said harshly.
"What do you mean it's my mess?" He asked.
"Jc, your clothes are all over my room and downstairs there is an empty liquor bottle and solo cups all over the counter top."
"I'll clean it up."
"Justin, I've told you a million times before to please clean up your stuff. I don't get it, at your old house you weren't messy and now you are. I'm not going to put up with this anymore." I said.
"What do you mean?" He asked standing up.
"Jc, I love you and all, but we have been having more arguments than we should be having. I feel like we don't talk to each other like we used to. Now we yell at each other all the time over the stupidest things." I say.
"What are you trying to say?" He asked concerned.
"I think what I'm trying to say is that we need a small break." I said.
"How long is small?" He asked.
"I don't really know." I said.
Jc's POV
I was in shock. I don't know what happened between us, we were so good together. I let my head down and started to throw my things into my suitcase. I then went downstairs and picked up the cups and bottle that was down there. I then walked to the front door where Lauren stood.
"This doesn't mean that this is the end of us, I just think that we need a little break from each other and then in a month or so we can try things out again." Lauren explained.
"I'm going to miss you." I said with tears in my eyes.
"Please don't cry, this isn't the end of us." She said starting to tear up.
"Then why are we doing this, we don't need to break up we can just slow things down a little." I said hugging her.
"I love you Jc." She said.
"I love you too."
I hugged her tight. I didn't want to let go but she finally pushed away from me.
"I'll see you soon." She said.
"Okay." I said and sniffed and wiped the tears out of my eyes.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too." She said and then kissed me.
I then walked out of her house and got in my car. I drove to the only person who I knew would take me in for a while.
I pulled up in their driveway and got out of the car. I knocked on the door and waited. My eyes were still puffy and red from crying. Soon Mackenzie opened the door and let me inside.
