Mackenzie's POV
It was 2nd period calculus. I put my head down on the desk. I did not wanna be at school today, much less be stuck in calculus for 45 minutes. I slowly started to doze off when someone threw something at me.
I looked up and threw the paper back at the boy next to me, but he just threw it right back. I read the front of the folded up paper and realized it was a note to 'cute girl.'
I didn't know who that was so I just looked back at the boy. He gestured towards me and I gave him a confused look. I looked around my area for any other girls, but I was the only one. I just went out on a limb and opened it guessing it was for me.

Okay so I've got a riddle for you.
A plane was on its way from Mexico to the U.S. when it crashed right on the border. Which side are the survivors buried on?

I looked back up from the note and over to Kian. I took a deep breath and wrote back. 'Smooth ;)' and threw the note back at him. He smirked, read it and put the note in his pocket.
I put my head down on my desk again and just thought about what happened. I was debating on texting him or not because school just started up 2 weeks ago so I didn't really know Kian that well. Oh well, I guess I'll never get to know him well if I don't start talking to him, so why not text him.

M-Me
M- okay loser what's the answer ;)
K- oh I'm not telling you. you have to figure it out yourself ;)
M- that's not fair you tricked me :(
K- you're right I did ;) maybe I'll tell you later
M- ugh Kian.....
K- ugh Mackenzie......
I put my phone back in pocket just to get another text.
K- this class is so boring text me back :'(
M- i know right when do we get out?
K- like 10 minutes but still
M- ugh
K- random question but um when do you go to lunch?
M- after 3rd
K- same :)

K- no don't go yet
M- the bells gonna ring bye
K- okay fine bye
The bell rang and I got out of my seat and started walking to the door. I got out into the hallway and heard my name.
"Mackenzie!"
I turned around to see who it was and of course, it was Kian. I waited for him to catch up to me.
"Where are you going?"
"Mrs. Browns english."
"You're gonna get to know me so well this year." He said grinning while leaning his arm on my shoulder.
"Why?" I asked.
He took his arm off of me. "Because we are in the same class again."
"How have I not noticed you in that class?"
"Probably just how we didn't really notice each other in calculus."
We walked in the door of the classroom and surprisingly we sat very close to each other. I sat in the back in the corner and there was a desk to my left and then there was his desk.
