Hey, it's been awhile. I'm not supposed to be writing because of my huge concussion, but I felt so bad that I did anyways. I won't be 'officially' allowed until March break, but then I'll be stuck in Quebec... So, since I couldn't stand torturing my poor (not so) innocent fans, here is the next chapter. I hope you like; so fan, feedback, and that little vote button in the corner.

Edward's POV

I stood there motionless, stunned by his question. "What about me?" "What?" I asked, bewildered. "What about me?" He said, sounding broken. When I didn't answer, much too shocked to do so, Jacob began to get angry. "What. About. Me?" He demanded, taking a step towards me with every word. He screamed in frustration and pushed me. "It's all your damned fault! You hear me? It's your entire fault.  You ruined it. She was going to say yes. Dammit, you hear me?" He yelled, grabing my shirt. "She was going to say yes. Yes! But then you came and ruined it, made her all confused again. Why did you do it? Why?" "Yes? What do you mean yes?" I asked, confused. But if he was going to answer, I do not know, for Alice suddenly gave a little cry of fright. "Bella! No! Don't! You'll never forgive yourself!" She cried, caught in a vision. When she was freed, she turned frightened eyes to us. "We have to get to Bella immediately! Or else it'll be too late!"

Aro's POV

Scrumptious. Absolutely positively scrumptious. One of my best meals in my many years. And, the part I enjoyed most was the memories. I had watched; through this girl's eyes; us in brutal, savage vampire glory as we drained yet another body of the precious crimson liquid. Tears had blurred her vision. Silent screams had echoed, not aloud, but inside her body. I wretched every single memory of pleasure from her mind, adding it to my own delight while I feasted until it became an empty void. A silent cavern as dark as night, her vision fading until both matched. The only color in the glorious darkness but the shine of red on a white throat.  Not a single drop was wasted, not a single speck fell to the ground. The blood had been too good to allow a single drop to go to waste instead of sating our burning throats. Drained dry without any blood left, the body was disposed of. The skin of the girl had become lily white, a color so much more beautiful than the pink of the living. Caius smiled. "She was quite delectable." "I agree." Came Marcus' uncaring voice. There was a knock at the door. "What?" I called, annoyed at the interruption. The door opened and the human secretary bowed. "My Lords, Santiago has arrived. He claims he bears news for you." "Send him in." She curtsied before rushing to find the Volturi Guard Santiago; the later who walked in and bored. "Lord Aro, Lord Marcus, Lord Caius, I have returned from the United-States." "How do the Olympic Covens?" "Well my Lords, I have some strange news..."

"This child, what is she?" Caius asked as the three of us sat, debating on the child-creature. "Well, it isn't a Moon Child." Marcus commented. "Or Santiago would have smelt it." "Yes, yes. But it's the smell that disturbed Santiago. He claims it smells like nothing he has ever smelt before." "True, the child supposedly has but a faint smell; one neither appetizing nor revolting. But everything has a smell..." "Yes," I said, finally speaking up. "But who was the one carrying the child? If we discover that, we can discover exactly what this child is." "And kill it if necessary," Marcus said drily. Or add it to my collection. Would this new breed have powers? It could benefit me... I added mentally, but I did not share my thoughts with the other two. I held out both my hands, and both the other vampires automatically grasped them, sending their thoughts. Marcus simply did not care, he would kill it if it were vampire or werewolf. Caius was not caring about the child's fate, but was simply puzzled over it's supposed uniqueness. I called Santiago back into the room. "The vampiress, holding the child, you said is a newborn?" "Yes my Lord, her eyes were still brown." "And yet this newborn was wandering the streets of a human town without a mature vampire?" "Yes my Lord." "What was she currently doing?" "Hunting my Lord, she was about to attack a human's home." "Thank you Santiago, you may go." He bowed and departed. "This means, unless the newborn has impossibly remarkable self-control, that the child does not smell human or smell like food; or else she would have bitten it." I mused, and Caius spoke up."Yes, but what is it?" "I do not know," I said, rising from my throne, "But I believe it is time to visit our dear friend Carlisle."
