MONDAY
11:05am

Tyquez is currently sitting at the chair on the other side of the glass where Hakeem was going to sit.

Once Hakeem sat down, Hakeem rolled his eyes.

Tyquez picked up and the phone and Hakeem did the same.

"What?", Hakeem asked. His leg was jumping. He walked to come through the window and beat Tyquez's ass.

"Damn, no hey how you doing?", Tyquez said.

"Nah, because I don't care", Hakeem said.

"So you telling Jordan how much you're sorry about what you did to her and me was a lie?", Tyquez asked.

"Nah it was the truth toward her. But as far as you, I lied. Yea. She likes peace, so I wanted to make her believe it's peace but let me tell you something...I really wished I didn't stop to talk to Jordan because I should've killed yo ass", Hakeem said.

"Damn, you sound angry", Tyquez said.

"Nah. I just don't respect you", Hakeem replied. "The fact that you can sit there and mess around with a woman knowing she's vulnerable is one thing, but it's another thing to know she's married"

Tyquez didn't say anything because he was right. Jordan was vulnerable. He just didn't care that she was married.

"At the end of the day, you should've been doing your job as a husband", Tyquez said.

Hakeem nods.

"True, true...you right", Hakeem replied. "But at the end of the day, just know your relationship with her isn't real. Maybe friendship, but not the way you think. You're just her escape goat. You were just the person that was there while me and her were going through hard times. Jordan thinks she loves you but she doesn't", Hakeem said.

Tyquez felt like Hakeem had a point. Him and Jordan just argued about that not too long ago so he actually almost believed Hakeem.

"I didn't really come here for no small talk alright? I just came to tell you to stop calling her", Tyquez said.

"Damn, you that insecure?", Hakeem asked.

"Hell no. I just don't like that shit. Besides, she told you not to call her, so don't call her", Tyquez said.

"Have you ever heard of the same way you get, is how you lose 'em?", Hakeem asked.

"Once again, stop calling her. I mean come on, we were in the middle of something. It's rude", Tyquez said.

Tyquez could see Hakeem getting mad. He wasn't going to be childish but Hakeem kept testing him.

"Have a nice day", Tyquez said he stood up and hung the phone back against the wall.

Hakeem punched the window. Tyquez could hear Hakeem's voice distantly but not the words.

The guards grabbed Hakeem and Tyquez stuck his middle finger up at Hakeem as they took him away.

Once the guards took him away, Tyquez left.

12:00pm

Tyquez got the elevator and began walking to his office. He was kind of mad after talking to Hakeem.

As Tyquez walked to his office, he saw Adam talking to Jordan while she was at her desk.

Tyquez walked up to them.

"Y'all don't have work to do?", Tyquez asked.

"Um—"

"Mr. Johnson, it's lunch", Jordan said.

Tyquez looked at his watch.

"Oh", Tyquez said as he looked back up at Adam. "You should get some food then. I know you gotta be hungry or are you just thirsty?"

"Mr. Johnson, I have some things to discuss with you about stuff that happened while you were gone", Jordan quickly said as she changed the subject.

"I'm about to go get my food now sir", Adam said before he waved goodbye at Jordan.

Adam walked away.

"Or is he just "thirsty"? Tyquez what happened? You seem grumpy", Jordan whispered as she stood up.

"It just turned 12 o'clock, and he was already talking to you at your desk. Either other way, he wasn't working like he was supposed to. Same goes for you. Now who should I be firing? You or him?", Tyquez asked.

"Nobody. The conversation was work related", Jordan said.

"Nah, the conversation was work related so he could start a conversation with you. I mean let's be real, the conversation started getting personal right?", Tyquez said.

Jordan didn't say anything. He was right.

"Exactly", Tyquez replied before he walked into his office.

Jordan followed him into the office.

"...how did talking to Hakeem go?", Jordan asked.

"Fine", Tyquez replied. "He's a bitch, but the conversation went fine"

"So why do you have to add that "bitch" part in there?", Jordan asked.

"Because he is a bitch. He rather kill me than to face the fact that you don't love his ass and that you with me now", Tyquez said.

"No. He said he apologized for that", Jordan said.

Tyquez put his jacket on the back of his chair.

"He's a liar. That man said he should've killed me", Tyquez said as he put his hands on he desk and leans over a little. "He lied to you to be on your good side. The nigga is a liar"

Jordan looked down.

"Just go eat. I'm good. I got work to catch up on. Just email me everything", Tyquez said.

"I um...I already did", Jordan replied.

"Thanks", Tyquez said.

Jordan walked out of the office.
