CHAPTER 41

SATURDAY
12:00pm

Jordan is currently holding onto Tyquez as he drove the jet ski across the water. He was racing with one of his friends who also had his girlfriend on the back.

Tyquez made a sharp turn as he slowed down because the race was finish.

"Nah, I don't respect that you was cheating", Tyquez said.

"Nah man you just wasn't fast enough", his friend replied.

"No man, you was cheating. Besides, I didn't want my baby to fall off", Tyquez said.

"What you mean? I'm good", Jordan said as she fixed her ponytail.

"You were yelling in my ear the whole time", Tyquez said.

"Yea I was, wasn't I", Jordan said before he put her arms around him again and hid her face.

His friend and his friend's girlfriend started laughing.

Jordan started laughing.

"But hope y'all have a good—"

Tyquez was signaling him to stop talking.

"You know what baby. We were supposed to help your mom with floor and garden right?", his friend asked.

"Yea. That's right", she replied.

"We'll you losers another time", he said jokingly.

"Shut up", Tyquez replied with a chuckle before he started driving the jet ski again.

"You should let me drive this thing", Jordan said loud enough for him to hear her.

"Maybe next time. Right now I wanna show you something", he said.

As he drove they approached a blanket with a picnic basket in the of it. I was in an area that nobody was really at expect for the people that set it up for Tyquez and Jordan.

Tyquez stopped the jet ski and they got off.

"Aw this is so sweet", Jordan said as they both approached the blanket.

When they got on the sand, Jordan and Tyquez took their life jackets off.

Tyquez walked to the blanket and picked up the roses and gave them to Jordan.

"And these are for you", Tyquez said.

"So, what made you do this? Did you do something bad?", Jordan asked as she smelled the flowers.

Tyquez chuckled. "No", he replied. "I just wanted to do something for you. But this is nothing, tonight I also have something planned for you"

"Like what?", Jordan asked.

"You'll have to find out", Tyquez said with a smile.

"Is there a special occasion today that I don't know of", Jordan asked as she walked to the blanket.

"No", Tyquez replied as he sat down. "Once again, I just wanna do something for you. I wanna show you my appreciation for you and I wanted to talk about a few things"

Jordan sat down across from him.

"Like what?", she asked as she focused her attention on him.

"...lately we're been getting into small little arguments and I don't like it. I know it's because of me and I wanna fix that", Tyquez said. "I also wanna apologize"

"Well while we are on the topic, can I ask why you've been so tense lately?", Jordan asked. "I mean like I understood at first. You were nervous to start a relationship with me like how I was with you but I thought you got over that nervousness but I honestly don't think you have. I wanna know what I have to do to go help you see that I don't want to nor will I hurt you. Just like you did with me. For instance, you can't get mad with I talk to not only men in general, but my coworkers"

"I wasn't mad", Tyquez said.

"Tyquez you felt some type of way. You basically told him to stop talking me in a slick way", Jordan said. "I mean white boys are cute but I wanna stick with my black kings. Just saying"

"I know you won't cheat on me, Jordan. It's just that...I'll be honest. I'm a little insecure when it comes to you. Only because I know that any day now this relationship can end and I don't want that to happen. I'm trying my best not to make that happen. So when other people get into my head, I get pissed off at them because what they say is still a possibility...so project some of that anger onto you and I apologize", Tyquez said.

"So how do we stop these people from getting into your head?", Jordan asked. "Besides who are these people?"

"Well first, it was my brother but now he's cool. But now it's Hakeem. I'm not going to tell you everything he said but...one thing kinda stood out to me", Tyquez said.

"What?", Jordan asked.

"How you get them...is how you lose them. Like I said before, I know you aren't going to cheat on me or do some hoe shit but it's just a thought you know. People around me change so much. People around me aren't usually around me for me but what I can give to them. I feel like you aren't one of those people", Tyquez said.

Jordan crawled to the side that he was on and touched his cheek.

"And I'm not one of those people. Tyquez, as long as I'm doing right by you and you're doing right by me, we're good. Like I said, just let this relationship go with the flow and let's see where things go", Jordan said. "I think we'll be fine".

"I know. That's what I've been trying to go do. I just wanted to let you know why I was upset this week. I didn't want you to think it was something you did because naturally you're perfect", Tyquez said.

"Well thank you for clarifying that", Jordan said as she glanced at his lips. "Now give me a kiss"

Tyquez started kissing her and Jordan began kissing him back and started adding tongue.

Tyquez pulled away a little. "Don't get too freaky now. I never had sex on the beach before, you know we can make that happen", he said.

Jordan started laughing.

Tyquez smiled.

"I love you beautiful", Tyquez said.

"I love you too, Tyquez", Jordan replied.

"...I'm done being insecure and I'm done letting people get to me. Thank you for being understanding and thank you bringing me back to reality", Tyquez said.

"That's what I'm here for", Jordan replied with a smile as she opened the basket.
