12:00PM
Jordan is currently eating lunch on her break and talking to Mahogany on FaceTime.
"Why didn't you come? Mom is so aggravating", Mahogany said. "Look. I'm the beach. Your favorite place"
"I didn't come because of what you said. Mom. And second I have to work", Jordan said. "And why did you tell mama about my divorce? We haven't even signed the papers yet"
"Honestly I didn't mean to. It just slipped out", Mahogany said.
"Yea and what makes it even worst is that they saw Tyquez", Jordan said.
"They are going to love him", Mahogany said.
"Yea only because he has money. That's all they care about", Jordan said. "What about somebody who's going to be there for me when I'm down, make me laugh and be happy, and make it seem like it's all me and nobody else? It's like they don't care about happiness. They just care about wealth"
"They do care about your happiness Jay. They never cared for Hakeem. But after he started drinking so much and you started to look less like yourself and realized that you were doing everything for the both of you, that's when they started to talk they shit and not like him" Mahogany explained. "They care about your happiness too"
"I guess", Jordan said.
"Besides, doesn't your boss do at least three of those things? Make you happy, laugh, and be there for you?", Mahogany asked.
"Yea but who says that the true him?", Jordan asked.
"Jordan, he already good some coochie. Ain't no need for him to front", Mahogany said.
"...true", Jordan said.
Tyquez came out of his office and walked pass Jordan's desk.
Jordan watched him for a moment then looked back at Mahogany on her phone.
"Yesterday he ask about us trying things out as a couple when I'm ready", Jordan said.
"See. Let's be real. If he didn't want you for more than just sex, he wouldn't have asked you that", Mahogany said. "What did you say?"
"I told him I just wanna be friends right now", Jordan said. "I don't know about a relationship yet"
"You friend zoned him?", Mahogany asked. "Damn Jordan. What if he goes and finds somebody else"
"Then he goes and finds someone else", Jordan replied.
Tyquez walked to her desk.
"You wanna eat lunch in my office?", he asked.
"I mean like if you want me", Jordan said.
"Girl, stop playing hard to get", Mahogany said. "Go. Bye"
She hung up.
Jordan had her headphones in so only Jordan could hear what Mahogany was saying.
"It's up to you Jordan", Tyquez said.
"What happened to Mrs. Williams while we're on the clock?", Jordan asked.
"Well I didn't know if you wanted to be called that since it's Hakeem's last night and I don't know your maidan name", Tyquez said.
