DYLAN

I stared at Adrian and Serena as they contiued speaking.

"So you're saying?-" Adrian cut her off with a sigh as he leaned backwards in his chair.

She tossed the picture towards me and I pressed my lips together to avoid myself from laughing. I know it was a serious matter but I found it quite amusing.

"Our parents killed their mates just so they could get married to eachother?" She said with a disgusted look on her face.

"Wouldn't that make you two siblings then?" I chuckled.

She shot daggers at me.

"Thank god they didn't go through with it," She shook her head as she slumped into the chair next to mine. Adrian had been using his father's office, so he had found a lot of information on his father. One of it being that he planned on marrying Serena's mother, Hailey. They had known eachother since they were children and never expected to be mated to someone else. But Adrian's father, Alistair, was the Alpha king, he had to marry his own mate for the thrones sake. Then they both killed their own mates to get married however, Alistair refused to marry Hailey after he found out that she had tried to manipulate Adrian into becoming the Alpha of the rogues.

I personally think that Hailey is to blame for everything that's happened. When Clarissa saved Adrian from going to the darkside, Hailey made their lives miserable. She got Clarissa to believe her and mate with Ace. Her hatred for Adrian was so deep that she didn't even spare her own daughter. She killed Serena's unborn child just to hurt Adrian. She blamed him for losing Alistair. I shook my head as I stares at the picture.

"It's all the past now, you should be happy about your present," I shrugged.

"I just-"

"Don't think about it," Adrian cut her. "Have you had breakfast?" He asked. She shook her head.

"Come on, I was going to have," I offered and they shook their head. Of course, why would the newly weds want to have breakfast with anyone else?

I excused myself as I headed for the dining room. Maybe I'd bump into her. I thought back to last night when she picked my pocket. I wasn't going to lie, that was impressive. But I still wanted to know what was in that necklace.

I was surprised to hear she was from blue shadow. They were a really small pack that kept to themselves. A few of them were part wolf and part warlock. It was descended in their bloodline. I had asked Mason if he had inherited it, but he never gave me a clear answer. I could not believe Mia was his sister. They were so unlike eachother. I didn't agree with her methods of rampaging out during the nights but I didn't disagree with her not wanting to marry someone who wasn't her mate.

My thoughts kept wandering back to her, I felt like banging my head into some wall.

'And she is so damn pretty!' Aiden, my wolf, smirked.

'Don't even think about it," I scowled.

He rolled his eyes at me in response but shot me a suggestive look. I shook my head as I halted in my step when I felt hands encircle my legs. I looked down to see Daniel's daughter, Belle, staring at me wide eyed. I picked her up as I smiled at her.

"Now, what are you doing here so far from your parents?" I asked, she blinked at me in response and my smile widened. The triplets had just learnt how to crawl and now they were all over the place.

"Aren't you just a little adorable girl," I kissed her forehead. I decided to take Belle back to her parents.

If Belle is in the pack house, then Sabrina must be here as well. I walked around with Belle in my arms as I looked for her mother.

"Hi," I turned around to face her. Mia was leaning against the wall, she raised her brow at me.

"I didn't know you had a twelve year old girls job," she remarked with a smirk and I shot her a glare.

"Mia, this is Belle, Daniels duaghter," I held her facing towards Mia and she gave a slight smile but it was gone within a few seconds.

"I was just going to drop her off by her parents, do you want to walk with us?" I asked her and she nodded slightly.

We walked in silence, once we had arrived at Daniel's place, I knocked a few times and he opened the door.

"Your daughter," I held her out and he raised his brow.

"Where's Sabrina?" He looked behind me, as soon as his eyes landed on Mia, his lip twitched from one side and I shot him a glare.

'Don't. Say. A. Word!' I mind linked him and he cleared his throat.

"Thank you for dropping her off, now why don't you go enjoy yourselves?" He smiled at Mia and that asshole sure did use a suggestive tone.

"Let's go," I turned away as Daniel shut the door. "Have you had breakfast?" I asked.

"Not yet," She shook her head.

"I know a good place, come on," I led towards the cafe that a lot of pack members went to. It was actually the cafe where I first met our packs Luna.

We entered together and she took a seat at the table next to the window. Once we had ordered what we wanted, she silently looked out the window.

"Penny for your thoughts?" I asked and she looked at me.

"Nothing, I'm just thinking about what Mason said," She sighed.

"You mean, your betrothal?"

She nodded her head in response.

"I think you should get married to him," I said, her eyes snapped towards me and it was the first time I noticed them properly. She had honey brown doe eyes, and her light golden hair reached all the way down to her waist.

"What?" She hissed at me.

"You lost your mate a long time ago, and I know how it feels to lose your mate; maybe this is a fresh start for you," I shrugged and she narrowed her eyes at me.

"What happened to your mate?" She asked.

"Well, her name was Caterina. She betrayed my pack and put the lives of all those that I love in danger, so I had my friend break our bonds," I told her about her being Adrian's half sister and she listened to all of it quietly.

"I- wow, I don't know what to say," She said with a grim expression and I shook my head.

"My point is, your father just wants what's best for you, and I think you should consider it," I explained.

"But what if he's some sleazy weirdo?" She scrunched her nose and I chuckled.

"Then you can ditch him and come find me," I winked playfully and she finally laughed.

"That's a very generous offer," she smiled playfully and I shrugged.

"You know what you should do, go on a date with him," I said and she stopped smiling.

"How is that going to help?"

"You might end up liking him," I responded and she sighed. "Give me your phone," I said.

"Why?" She asked.

"Just give," I held out my hand and she grudgingly place it in my palm.

I typed in my number and handed it back to her.

"You can tell me all about it," I said and she smiled.

"You better be right," She bit her lip as she looked out the window.

Our food arrived and we talked about a lot of different things. She even told me about her mate, Liam. Once she left to get ready to leave, I decided to get back to work by Adrian.
