MIA

I silently tip toed towards my room in the middle of the night. I had just gotten back from hunting with Jade and Elliot, I had caught a fish in the stream, but to Jade that seemed very funny; she didn't think it was good enough since she had caught a deer herself. I had taken off my combat boots after entering the house in order to lessen the sounds of my foot steps, but as I entered my room, my eyes landed on my reflection in the mirror, it looked like I was doing the walk of shame. I dropped the boots by my door and tried to shut it as quietly as possible. It was almost two in the morning, aunt Madison will be arriving today so it would be best to get my sleep. I got changed into comfortable clothes before getting into my cosy bed. A good night's sleep felt like the most welcoming thing ever after today's events, my mind wandered to my dinner with Ryan and how he has teased me about blushing.

'Go to sleep, and let me sleep!' Sienna grumbled and I rolled my eyes.

'Fine,' I snorted turning to my right, as I shut my eyes.

I woke up after seven hours, my room had a dull gold light due to the little light that managed to pass through the curtains, I rubbed my eyes, sitting up. My bedroom door opened and mother barged in before I could even tell her to come in.

"Do come in," I whispered under my breath.

"What's that now?" She asked.

"Ah nothing, did you need something, you should have called me, I would have come to you," I said.

"No no, I wanted to wake you up, aren't you coning with me to pick Madison from the airport?" She asked.

"Oh yeah," I remembered mother had told me a few days ago that I would have to come with her, since Mason and Father were both busy at the office today.

"Let me just shower and get dresses," I said getting out of my bed, I wasn't planning on smelling like grime the whole day. She nodded her head before heading out of my room. I took a quick shower, did my skin care routine once I had stepped out of the shower with my towel tied around my body. I wore a pair of black jeans, along with a fitted black shirt. I combed my hair slightly and applied a little moisturiser on my face. I had applied a nude lipstick, with a little gloss to make my lips look less dry. I wore my black ankle boots, grabbed my long white coat and purse, heading downstairs. I headed towards the living room, mother was sitting on the couch opposite the television and I stood in front of her.

"Can we just have breakfast out?" I asked.

"Sure, but let's pick up Madisom first," She instructed as she got up.

I walked behind her towards the car, I got into the drivers seat, and mother sat in the passengers seat next to me. I drove out onto the street towards the airport.

"How was dinner with Ryan last night?" Mother asked.

"It was good, he's a really hardworking person," I said without looking away from the road.

"That's good, I like him too, he's a respectful boy," She remarked, she turned on the radio to play a song.

Once we reached the airport, we got down as many people were coming out of the airport, I tip toed as I tried to find aunt Madison's face in the crowd.

"Hi!" She popped from my side and I flinched. "It's so easy to get you," She chuckled, shaking her head.

"I didn't think you'd already be out okay!" I said defensively.

"Come on sucker, let's go," My mouth dropped open at her reference towards me.

"It's good to see you're still as mean as ever," I shot her a look as I helped her with her bags. It was always like this with aunt madison and I, she was practically like my best friend. She ignored me as she hugged my mother.
