MIA

I picked up my duffel bag from the bed, I mentally checked everything I need off my list before walking downstairs. I had promised Dylan that I would stay two days so I have to now. Aunt Madison was very chill with it since she was going to New York this whole week. I really wanted to go with her but alas, I had made other plans. But on the brightside, I really had fun with Dylan the last time we met. My phone vibrated and I picked it to check my notifications, Ryan had messaged me. He was asking me if I wanted to go hunting with him tonight, I felt really bad for saying no, I told him that I already had plans. I couldn't cancel on Dylan, I couldn't even speak to him on my engagement. Dylan had texted me earlier to meet him elsewhere, he had just sent me the location without explaining where it was.

"Hurry up," Mason glared at me.

"I am," I said walking past him, out the front door. Mason stood firm in his decision of coming with me. I know he was just being a protective big brother, but it gets annoying sometimes. I kept my duffel bag in the backseat before coning around to sit in the passenger's side seat. Mason got into the drivers side and turned on the engine. Once we hit the road, I pulled out my phone to play the game I had downloaded. Mason had turned on the music and I had over two hours to go because the location he had sent me was a little further away from his pack.

"Do you know where we're going exactly?" Mason asked after a while, the music wasn't so loud so I heard him.

"No idea," I shrugged.

"And this is why I'm coming with you," he shook his head.

"What do you mean by that?" I looked up from my phone.

"Well, for all you know, it could be a trap and you could get yourself killed," he snapped.

"Dylan isn't a serial killer," I rolled my eyes at his dumb remarks, I continued playing the game on my phone.

"You don't realise someone's a psychopath until they kill you," He pointed out.

"Mason?"

"What?"

"Shut up!" I said without looking away from my phone screen. I was on level ten now.

We finally arrived onto a narrow winding road, it was surrounded with tall trees on both sides and I stared ahead with curiosity. I wonder where exactly we're about to reach. A huge mansion came into view, I gaped in awe, it's not like I hadn't seen mansions before, but this had a completely vintage exterior. It looked breathtaking. I wonder what Dylan is doing here.

"Wow," Mason whistled, I couldn't help but agree.

Once Mason parked the car, I got down and scanned the place. We headed towards the front door, I had grabbed my duffel bag from the backseat, Mason on the hand had opted to leave his in the car. I really don't understand why he had to drag himself here along with me, he really had nothing better to do with his life. I can't wait for him to find his mate, at least I'll get him off my back.

I knocked on the door twice, I heard footsteps coning from inside, the door swung open and Dylan greeted us, he took my duffel bag from me as he moved aside to let us in.

"So you're just here all alone?" Mason asked.

"Yeah, the Alpha and Luna want to move here in a week or two, so I need to make sure it's ready," he responded as he led us inside.

"So if I hadn't come, you two would just be like all alone in this house?" Mason interrogated, I elbowed him in his side causing him to wince, Dylan chuckled as he shook his head as he slightly turned his face to the side to see Mason as he was walking ahead of us.
