MIA
I had personally sent Dylan an invite for the wedding, I'd called him to let him know that he was coming. I know, bossy but he's one of my only genuine friend.
Now that the wedding was two days away, mother had taken care of all the precautions, Aunt Madison had helped me pick out the wedding dress. Mason had taken care of my workload at the office, I was really grateful for all the support from them.
Tonight, I was going to spend it with Jade and Aunt Madison. I had invited Jade for dinner, we'll pretty much order pizza and just hang out. It was almost time for her to come, I was sitting on my bed, using my phone.
Once she arrived, Aunt Madison joined us, we had ordered the pizzas, Mason had offered to bring us some drinks. Aunt Madison swiped through netflix as she tried to pick a movie we could watch.
"How's Elliott's job going?" I asked Jade.
She shrugged in response. "Not bad, we're surviving."
"Your brother offered me a job at his company," She whispered and I raised a brow.
"He did?" I instantly regretted the surprised tone. "I'm glad," I smiled.
"I haven't yet decided on whether to accept his offer," She said and I raised my brow questioningly.
"I really appreciate you trying to help me, I know he didn't offer me this job just like that," She gave me a knowing look and I shook my head.
"I didn't speak to him about it," I lied and she gave me a deadpanned look.
"I don't think so," She scoffed but a smile made its way to her face. "Even if you didn't, still, thanks for having my back," She said.
Before I could say anything, Aunt Madison played the movie, I leaned back. The pizzas arrived after a while and it's safe to say I ate way too much.
Mason had brought them up, along with the drinks for us. I had thanked him before pushing him out of my room forcefully.
"Lemme get ice cream," I groaned as I got up, Aunt Madison paused the movie and raised her brow at me. "What? I need dessert," I shrugged.
"Then hurry up!"
"You can continue the movie," I laughed, walking out the room. I headed to the kitchen, there were no pack members around and I shrugged grabbing a tub of ice cream along with three bowls and three spoons.
I quickly ran to my room, not wanting to miss anymore of the movie. I took my spot next to Aunt Madison, I offered them the tub and they both took some ice cream in their bowls. Aunt Madison gave me a dirty look as I had opted to just eat out of the tub itself.
"What? I'll finish it," I said with a mouthful of ice cream.
"How many drinks did you have?" She narrowed her eyes at me.
"One," I frowned in confusion.
"Can you both shut up?" Jade groaned.
"I-"
"Shh!" She cut me off, I gaped at her before turning to the movie.
Jade was going to stay here for the next two days, I'd made her promise to stay till the wedding day so she had no choice. I wanted to enjoy my last days in the pack, then I was off to become a boring Luna of another pack, all I'll get time for is paper work, pack duties and all the other things that come along with it.
'And a husband,' Sienna chuckled.
'And your husband too,' I coughed.
'Right.'
I smirked at how it just backfired on her. This deal was for both of us, if I suffer, she suffers with me.
'My human is a monster,' she groaned.
'Hey! I'm nice,' I chuckled.
'Yeah, very,' she said with sarcasm dripping from her voice. I rolled my eyes, knowing damn well she loved me.
The next morning, I woke up with a stiff neck, I groaned, realising that my upper body had been hanging off the bed. Aunt Madison had fell asleep here, so I had almost no room on the bed. I heaved myself up, stumbling to the bathroom, I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I walked out of the bathroom, Jade had woken.
"Hey," I said, walking to her side to grab my phone from the side table.
"Hi," She yawned, blinking her eyes to adjust to the light.
"Come on, get up quickly so we can go have breakfast downstairs," I instructed, she completely ignored me; covering her eyes with her arm. I rolled my eyes walking out of my room to head downstairs. Well I was hungry.
I had a good morning message from Ryan, I smiled replying him. It was sweet how he had messaged me every morning for the past month.
I checked the rest of the messages, I had one from Dylan as well.
I'll be there, wouldn't miss it for anything! :)
I smiled, putting my phone away as I walked into the kitchen.
"Morning," I bumped Mason's shoulder purposely as I walked to the refrigerator to get myself some juice.
"Morning," he greeted, narrowing his eyes at me. "What's got you all happy?"
"Nothing," I chuckled, why does there have to be a reason for me to be in a good mood?
'Cause you're not this chirpy normally,' Sienna answered my question.
'That's not true,' I defended.
"Is it the wedding tomorrow?" Mason raised his brow as he took a sip of his juice. I poured my own into a glass and stood opposite from him.
"No. But that does remind me, I heard mother and father talking about you possibly finding you mate at my wedding," he shrugged at my words.
"She'll come along when she's meant to," he answered.
"And if she doesn't?" I asked.
"Then our father is very good at finding people for us," he chuckled dryly, making me raise my brow.
"You'd be okay with that?"
"Mia, I'll find my mate when the time is right, don't worry yourself with it," he said, getting up to place his dishes in the sink. "I'm getting late for work," he hugged my from the side before leaving. I leaned back staring at his as he walked away. Father was worried about the pack having no Luna after his retirement.
I smiled as Jade walked into the kitchen, taking a seat where Mason had been sitting a few minutes ago.
"Juice?" I offered, she just nodded, rubbing her head.
"How are you so happy?" She groaned.
I laughed pouring her a glass of juice.
"I didn't have much to drink last night," I shrugged.
"Never again," She grumbled, taking a sip from the glass. "Are you ready for tomorrow?"
I took a deep breath at her question. "I guess I am."
"I'm happy for you. You deserve this after all that you've been through," She said, making me smile.
"You're too sweet," I smiled. "What do you wanna have?" I asked rummaging through the refrigerator.
"Anything works," She replied.
"Pancakes?" I asked, pulling out the milk.
"If you're making them," She chuckled.
"I can try, although I always end up burning them," I laughed.
Aunt Madison joined us halfway through our breakfast, I offered her the plate of pancakes and nodded sitting with us. I could see the pack members walking outside from the window.
"Let's go for a run after," I suggested, they both nodded. We talked about a few things here and there ad we finished eating.
Once we did, I headed outside to go for a run. They both joined me, we shifted into our wolf forms, running into the forest.
