Chapter 9

MIA

He turned around before walking off and smiled at me.

"Wait here," he said before turning around to walk towards the living room. I looked around as pack members were beginning to go for lunch, the area was left with just a few people.

He came back after a few minutes and smiled at me.

"I just had to say goodbye to your family, I have to get going now," He said and I nodded my head with a smile.

"I want to take you out for dinner this weekend," He rubbed the back of his neck and I grinned inwardly. He was definitely nervous.

"That would be great," I saved him the trouble of stuttering, he gave me a relieved smile.

"I'll call you," he said.

"My number-"

"I've got it," He shrugged and I raised my brow.

"Should I be scared?" He laughed at that and shook his head.

"Your brother gave it to me," He gestured towards the door. Of course, who else could it be?

"Oh."

"Well, I have to get going," he sighed.

"I'll see you this weekend then," I smiled.

"I had a great time."

"Me too." And I really did. He was a nice person.

"Goodbye Mia," my name rolled of his tongue smoothly.

"Goodbye," I said, trying to stay as calm as I could. He walked towards a black car parked down the street. Once he got in, I headed to my room.

'What was with the 'I hope to hear from you soon' then asking you to wait. That was a stupid way to leave,' Sienna laughed.

'He was just trying to be cool I guess,' I shrugged.

'Well, he seemed more like a fool doing that,' she retorted. I laughed at that. I took if my heels, and sat on my bed.

"Oh that feels like heaven," I said loudly as I rubbed my feet.

'Well, you should have worn flip flops,' Sienna grinned.

'I didn't know I'd be standing that long,' I huffed.

I picked up my phone to leave Jade a message. I told her to wait for me near the borders tonight, I was getting really bored of just sitting in the house the whole time.

'Ah finally! We're going hunting,' Sienna ordered, I nodded my head in response.

I got up to get the make up remover and wipes.

I tied my hair in a ponytail, wore my flip flops, I changed into a pair of black tights with a grey tank top as I wanted to go for a run. I headed downstairs to eat something. I had been so tense the whole morning that I forgot to eat my breakfast. Now I could eat properly.

I looked out the windows as I passed by. They were wolves practicing their fighting, I decided to grab an energy bar as I wanted to go watch. Maybe even fight someone myself. It had been almost two weeks since I had gotten to participate in one.

I set on the bench as I watched them fight, once they were done, I got up to volunteer to fight with the next opponent. It was Cynthia, we both greeted eachother before stepping into the ring.

We got into our stances, she glanced at my right, I knew she was going for the offense.

'We go for defence, wear her out then pounce,' Sienna instructed.
