DYLAN

Ten fucking days. She's been missing ten days now. I'd been looking for Mia with Mason and the rest of their pack but we couldn't find her anywhere. Her scent ended in the forest. He planned this well. If I get my hands onto Ryan, I'm going to rip him to shreds.

Adrian had allowed me to help out with looking for her, Daniel was handling things for me and helping Adrian with everything. I felt bad for him, but my main focus was finding Mia. She disappeared when she was coming to meet me.

"My men spotted Ryan," Mason said, snapping me out of my thoughts. "They've been tailing him for a few hours now but I've told them not to attack, I want to make sure he leads us to Mia," he explained.

"How long before we do attack?" I asked, not being able to wait till I get to kill that man.

"He's mine Dylan," Mason warned. Right. Of course.

I stayed quiet, wanting the next few hours to pass as fast as possible. Mason's phone began to ring and I felt hope grip at me.

He answered it and I felt bad for using my wolf hearing but if it was about Mia, I needed to know. I don't know why not knowing where she was driving me this crazy, maybe, because she's one of the only genuine friends I consider to be close.

'Or maybe it's because you're in love with her,' Aiden commented.

'I'm not!' I snapped back.

Mia's father walked in, he had dark bags underneath his eyes, the lines on his face looked deeper than ever.

"Are we ready to attack?" He asked Mason without greeting him, I understood why. He just wanted to bring his daughter back to safety and this was the first sliver of hope any of us had gotten in the past ten days.

Mason have a curt nod and relief flooded through me. Finally, we can kill Ryan.

"We need to meet the pack warriors at the location they've surrounded," Mason explained us all the details of where we were headed. The pack beta had joined in after a while. Once he was done explaining, we all headed out, shifting into our wolf forms as we ran together through the forest.

We stood near the warriors once we reached, there was a trapdoor dug into the ground, you wouldn't even realize it was there if you wouldn't pay close attention to it. Ryan stood no chance against all of us. It may not be a fair fight, but he's the one who decided to play dirty by taking Mia.

Two men broke the trap door, I'm sure Ryan knew we were here now, if he didn't already know it before.

Mason and I charged inside at the same time, his wolf nodded at mine, letting me know to find Mia and he was going to get Ryan.

The place smelled like a urinal, I had to force myself from ganging. It took me a few seconds to adjust to the darkness, I froze in place as I saw a limo figure on the floor in the corner. I cautiously inched forward, their back turned to me, hiding their face from me. I nudged the the limp figure and the person sat up in surprise, flinching backwards. Mia?

I shifted into my human form, not giving a damn that I had no clothes on.

"Hey," I cupped her face but she pushed me away, pressing herself into the wall.

"Mia, it's me, Dylan," I whispered, feeling rage fill me to the bone at her state. I couldn't even recognize her, she looked so frail and starved. My gaze fell to her bare body, wearing nothing. My eyes darkened, black dots clouding my vision. He's going to regret ever looking in her direction. "It's me, you're safe now," I tried to assure her, my voice pained, I didn't know how to make her believe I wasn't going to hurt her.
