Sometime years ago...
His menacing stare made Jennie grip the bottle in her hand, hesitating to take the medicine. She gulped, averting her gaze to look at her shoes instead. She could hear him padding forward with his thick black boots.
He scoffed, showing her how much he detested the sight of her. She squeezed her eyes shut, removing him from her blurry vision.
"There is no point in taking your medicine." He told her with his grim voice, lacking any empathy.
She squeezed her eyes more, refusing to open them. Looking at him scared her.
"There is no reason for it. You won't get better, you don't deserve it."
She felt him hold her shoulders, holding her so tightly until the pain made her open her eyes. He was in front of her.
Her eyes met his dark ones, immediately making her heart drop to her stomach.
"You should just end it all." He turned her around, shoving her towards the window.
"It's better this way." He insisted, nudging her.
He opened the window and forced her to look down. Her whole body trembled as his iron grip held her in place. He even went as far as snatching the bottle of pills and tossing them on the floor.
"I-I..." Jennie tugged on the light green gown she was wearing. The cold wind brushed on her skin, making her shiver more than before. "I-I don't-"
"Shut up!" He slammed his hand against the wall by her head, she yelped in fear. "You should just-"
"Everything okay in there?" A husky voice peeked into the room from the half open door.
Jennie whipped her head to the door fearfully. Then she ducked her head to make herself smaller.
The raven haired girl slowly entered the room, closing the door behind her. Her eyes scanned the room, flickering between the girl, the pills scattered on the floor and the open window.
She walked forward, standing next to Jennie. The latter instantly flinched, covering her face as if she was afraid that she would get hit.
The raven didn't do anything like that. She just closed the window. Then she squatted down to put the pills back into the bottle.
"Is this your medicine?" She asked her.
Jennie nodded.
"You didn't want to take it?" She asked softly, standing up with the small bottle of pills.
Jennie shook her head hesitantly. "H-He told me not to..."
"Who?" The raven furrowed her eyebrows, as concerned as confused.
"H-He..." Jennie nodded to her side, not daring to look at him again.
Jisoo glanced around. "There is no one here. Only you and me."
Jennie felt a burden drop from her shoulders, with her assurance she found the courage to move her head.
However, she could still see him chuckle at her with his menacing face. Jennie immediately fell on the ground, covering her body with her arms.
The raven sounded alarmed, she acted immediately. She read the label of the bottle, recognising it. She went to get a glass of water.
"Here take one." She held out a pill and the glass of water.
Jennie didn't dare to move her body.
"Come on, just one. I promise to make sure he can't hurt you. I'm going to shield you." She told her confidently.
