It's been years since Jennie could see the world around her as a video game. She doesn't know why she has this weird ability. If she told a doctor they would definitely diagnose her with schizophrenia.

Jennie still remembers the day it started. It was a day like any other. The brunette was unsuspecting of anything and just walked around the park with her dog, peacefully.

Suddenly a fly attacked her. It latched on her and didn't leave her in peace. Annoyed, she swatted her hand at it only to miss. The fly landed on her arm, bit her, and flew away before she could hit it in return and take revenge.

Then she looked up and noticed something strange. She rubbed her eyes but it was still there. Above her head it was floating, a long, red, transparent bar with a sliver missing from the end. And before she knew it orchestral music filled her ears as the fly from before charged at her roughly.

The bar above her head kept reducing with every hit of the fly and suddenly Jennie felt weaker, like her body was crumbling into bits.

With immediate panic she hit the fly and she could see another bar appear above the fly's head moving with it. It was a black bar and just with one hit, more than half of it was missing.

Therefore the fly instantly escaped and the music faded. Jennie just stood there perplexed, some people stared at her and her dog was nuzzling on her shoes.

She kept staring into the void and let everything dawn on her. The bar which she assumes must be a health bar was still there and when she looked around, she could see such an object glued to every person around, even animals and plants.

She tried to touch them but she couldn't, her hand went through it.

She had no idea that was just the beginning. More strange things happened.

For example, just when her mother asked her to cook lunch, a screen popped up that told her to write her name, so she typed 'J'. Then another screen popped up and 'quest' was written on it. She could accept or decline it, before that it wouldn't disappear.

And if she accepted, it turned smaller and went to the bottom right, she could still click on it and all the details of the quest were to be found there. She had the option to abort the quest or fulfil it so the screen would disappear.

She tried telling people about it but no one believed her. That's why she couldn't do anything but get used to this and live her life with this odd format.

"Please, Jen, this game is great, try it out." Her best friend Jisoo told her.

"Sorry Chu, but I hate video games." Jennie crossed her arms, the reason for it should be obvious. She is sick of them.

Jisoo pouted and lowered her head, her bottom lip wobbling dramatically. Jennie glanced at her and felt her resolve weaken.

Jisoo saw it too and smiled while handing Jennie the laptop. Jennie sighed and took it to another room to play since she didn't want to disturb Jisoo as she was doing an assignment.
