Jisoo felt full with the pizza she ate, and the playing of a game she liked. Also the fact that Jennie is holding her hand while waiting for the bus with her.
"We should take along mittens and a scarf tomorrow." Jisoo exhaled, a small fog forming around her mouth as it was that cold.
"I didn't buy winter clothes yet." Jennie muttered, her hands were starting to sweat, Jisoo could feel it.
"Ah, well, then better order some stuff online or we can go together." Jisoo suggested.
"Mhm," Jennie hummed. "I'll handle it myself, I know you dislike shopping."
Jisoo could still feel that Jennie was a bit nervous but she didn't address it. She knows sometimes Jennie gets fidgety when they hold hands or cuddle. She was used to it.
When the headlights of the bus came closer the girls got ready to enter. They sat scooted together at the back. Jennie leaned her head on Jisoo's shoulder and sighed deeply, while Jisoo looked out of the window.
They passed many trees and buildings. Jisoo was thinking about her games again. She wants to level up a lot. She is aiming for the highest level in every game she plays.
She also doesn't skip side quest to only focus on main quests. No, Jisoo wants to know how to master those games and sharpen her skills.
After all, she is preparing herself to beat Black Mamba. What is Black Mamba? Black Mamba is a villain. The ultimate boss. Each level of each game she plays prepares herself to face this villain...
"Chu, we leave here." Jennie nudged her.
"Okay." Jisoo nodded and followed her lead.
Jennie was still holding her and tucking her to her side while they walked past the passengers and exited.
"Did you have fun today?" Jennie asked as they swang their clasped hands and sauntered along the sidewalk.
"Yep, but I'm still far from beating Black Mamba." Jisoo pouted.
"That thing again?" Jennie chuckled. "That's like a Slenderman right? An ominious creature that lingers around?"
"Black Mamba is a dangerous floor boss. It attacks people, then it corrupts them and takes control of them. You can't allow it to live with you, no matter how human it seems. You need to beat it from the start or it will never leave." Jisoo explained.
Jennie listened attentively and didn't ridicule her. She probably saw it as an urban legend but Jisoo knows it exists. It takes many forms but when she encounters it, she will immediately tell that's them.
And when that happens, Jisoo will fight. She won't run.
At Jisoo's door step, Jennie let go of her hand and gave her a tight hug instead, like she didn't want to let go.
"See you tomorrow." She nuzzled against her cheek before she pulled back.
Jisoo nodded and watched her best friend skeptically. Lately it doesn't seem like she wants to go home at all.
"You can stay over if you want." Jisoo offered, tugging at Jennie's leather jacket as she turned around.
Jennie tilted her head and smiled at her warmly. "Really?"
"Yeah sure." Jisoo returned the smile. "Just give your mom a call. My parents won't mind."
Jennie nodded happily and followed the raven to her room, curtly greeting Jisoo's parents on their way.
While Jisoo changed into more comfortable clothes, Jennie just stripped until she was solely wearing a white tee and Calvin Klein shorts.
They snuggled up on Jisoo's bed where the elder was playing games on her phone while Jennie was talking about whatever came to her mind.
"I got a sleeping bag for our trip but I have no tent." Jennie mumbled, while burying her head onto Jisoo's shoulder.
"We can sleep in the same tent. Mine is big." Jisoo said while continuing to play Cookie Run.
"Okay." Jennie's lips curled into a smile, she wrapped her arms around Jisoo's waist and hugged her.
Jisoo ignored the clinginess and finished the round, a small cheer leaving her lips before she changed the game to Mario Kart Tour.
Eventually she felt Jennie fall asleep against her while she was in the middle of a race. She finished the race and turned her phone off. She turned the lights off as well and got back into bed where Jennie instinctively cuddled up to her.
She shook her head with a silly smile on it as she enveloped her friend in a tender hug and closed her eyes.

The sunlight had awoken them but neither made a move to step out of the bed, they continued cuddling.
It was only when Jisoo's mom, Yoona knocked on the door that they were forced to get up. They took turns showering, then went downstairs to have breakfast.
"You girls need to get up earlier. When I was your age I ran five laps around my house each morning. That motivated me for the day."
Her father, Kibum scolded as he drank coffee from his mug, he skimmed through the newspaper.
"I ran around the world in Genshin Impact." Jisoo retaliated and ate her cereals.
Her parents did not seem to understand the meaning of her words, so Jennie sighed and translated it for them, "She played a game."
Yoona let out a chuckle, pouring Jennie some orange juice into her glass.
"Jisoo, I will sign you up for sports." Kibum suddenly proclaimed. "You choose one or I choose one."
Jisoo groaned in pain and dropped her head on Jennie's shoulder.
The brunette blushed and lowered her head, busying herself by drinking her orange juice.
"Say Jennie, how is your mom doing? I haven't seen Taeyeon in a week." Yoona queried while handing her husband a plate with bacon and eggs.
"Good." Jennie answered quickly, munching on her toast.
"I heard that your father came back from a business trip." Kibum added. "This time I thought he'd be gone for good."
"Dear." Yoona scolded, turning him silent. She casted Jennie an apologetic look but she shook her head, it was fine.
"Your dad," Jisoo hummed. "I don't think I've seen him before, did I?"
"No." Jennie swallowed, drinking more juice as Yoona poured her more. "He doesn't stay long. He'll be gone soon."
"Then I should meet him before he leaves!" Jisoo smiled as everyone else around the table stiffened.
"Yeah maybe," Jennie shrugged her shoulders, her lips pursed. "Anyway! Let's go to school, we are missing the bus."
"Right." Jisoo got up and followed her friend who took their backpacks and went for the door.
"Your lunchboxes." Yoona gave them two pink lunchboxes before they left and closed the door.
"Good kids. If only they weren't so addicted to video games." Kibum walked to his wife and laid a hand on her shoulder.
"I don't think it'll be a problem in the future. They will learn moderation." Yoona retorted.
