It's been a few weeks since Jennie's dad left them again.

He will probably be back once he is out of alcohol and money, as usual. Jennie hopes it will take a while until that happens. Whenever he is gone, she can enjoy her time freely without worrying about arriving at home to his anger attacks.

Jennie shook her head, exhaling. She decided not to think about it further and enjoy her current free time which she spent with her best friend.

In other words, she is playing a game with Jisoo.

"Jen." Jisoo nudged her by bumping their shoulder together.

Jennie was snapped back to the game and nodded her head. She smiled since their arms were touching.

"Um... anytime now?" Jisoo cleared her throat, calling her again.

"Right." Jennie was reminded by what her friend was asking her for.

They were playing MapleStory and Jisoo was waiting for Jennie to use a certain skill.

Jennie activated the skill of her class Kanna. The skill is called Kishin Shoukan, it allows Kanna to increase the amount of mobs (=playable and non-playable characters) on a map.

As soon as more mobs appeared, Jisoo cleared them happily to level up. Sometimes they play like this for more than three hours.

The new feature of MapleStory which was only available for Beta Testers had 4 vs 4 battles. After they had enough of clearing NPCs, they searched for a party and played against other users.

"Ah, those battle mages are predictable. They try all skills without coordination and make unnecessary movements." Jisoo sounded a bit bored as she tapped on her keyboard quickly and landed hits on their opponents. She thrusted through them with her skill Pink Pummel, causing them to knockback.

It's true that they rarely found opponents that could keep up with them. Jisoo didn't really take any damage either. Maybe just one hit because she was distracted for one second when she had to sneeze. She made a cute sound, so Jennie just had to mimic the action and tease her.

"Please plant that tree instead of making fun of me." Jisoo requested, a pout on her lips.

"I thought Cherry Blossoms are no trees?" Jennie snorted since Jisoo keeps going on about how they are inferior to classic trees.

"I don't acknowledge them as such but I need you to heal me nonetheless."

Jennie succeeded in distracting Jisoo, that way she took some more damage. It's not like Jennie wanted them to lose (which they wouldn't) but Jisoo said it was boring, so she is giving their opponents a head start.

"Never mind healing me but our teammates are about to die." Jisoo informed her, still not stressed even if she and Jennie had to take on four players on their own.
