"Hey Jen, what are you doing there?" Jisoo opened the door to her balcony and wrapped a jacket around the brunette.
She noticed she had been out here for a while now and she was shivering. It made her worry, so she decided to keep her warm and keep her company.
Jennie sighed, sitting on the bench for almost an hour now. Jisoo scooted next to her and slung an arm around her shoulder, rubbing her warm with her palm.
"Talking to Somi?" Jisoo guessed.
Jennie laughed quietly, causing Jisoo to raise a brow. "Nah, I just bid goodbye from her."
Jisoo's eyes bulged. "You did!?"
Jennie nodded her head meekly. That explains why she seemed so sad.
Jisoo let that settle on her. She thought carefully about it. She knows that Somi is one of the delusions she is seeing and talking to her makes Jennie feel better. She is the best thing that she made up and she truly feels like she helped her live so far.
It's a good thing Jennie hasn't seen a bad delusion in a while. Sometimes Jisoo still feels like she is being followed by personifications of death and monsters since she has been off her meds.
But anyway, what Jennie just said basically means she outgrew the need for having Somi with her.
Is it because her dad is out of her life? If so, then his presence must have made Jennie so miserable that the second he is gone, she doesn't need her old habits to keep going. It makes Jisoo hate him more but she was also happy that Jennie was moving forward.
"I think that's good." Jisoo broke the silence but didn't speak too loudly. Jennie was still staring ahead but she did acknowledge what Jisoo with a curious hum.
"It's good that you are changing. Change is inevitable and it doesn't matter if it's good or bad, what matters is the person you are after it. That you made it through." Jisoo voiced out her opinion. "But I also think it's okay if you talk to her from time to time. Just do what you feel like."
Somehow Jennie appeared to feel relieved after Jisoo said that. She smiled at her and her cheeks became fluffier and weren't as pale.
"How's your face? Does it still hurt?" Jisoo asked eventually.
She spoke gently and also lifted her hand to brush her fingers against her swollen face. Responsively, Jennie winced in pain which made Jisoo retract her hand immediately as if burned.
"Sorry." Jisoo frowned, watching the other with a worried expression.
"It's okay." Jennie assured her quickly.
"Why didn't you tell me...?" Jisoo asked cautiously, not intending to sound pushy or like she had to tell but like she would have helped her.
Jennie's eyes widened momentarily, maybe mistaking her tone for hurt.
