Even though the girls told each other goodbye, Jisoo was still playing. Later Jennie came over to her best friend and asked if she could spend the night, Jisoo's parents allowed it of course.

Jisoo grabbed Jennie's hand and took her to her room where she continued to play, a different game. She was playing Elden Ring on the PS5.

Jennie was sitting next to her and leaning her body into her, on the sofa. Jisoo didn't seem to notice.

"Hey..." Jennie pouted and tried to grab her hand but that's exactly when Jisoo lifted it to use the remote control. She was unaware that she just rejected Jennie yet again, in a way.

Jennie sighed, her palm still open and ready to be held. Her eyes largened as she felt a pressure against her hand. She was almost about to blush but then she registered it as a paw and heard Dalgom barking softly.

Jennie chuckled and picked up the Maltese to cuddle with him.

"Chu," Jennie tried again while she hugged the small dog. "Jisooo~"

Jisoo only nodded in acknowledgement, her eyes glued on the screen.

"Do you like me?" Jennie asked her, dropping down with the dog in her arms and laying herself on Jisoo's free lap.

"Hm..." Jisoo nodded. She kept playing.

"I like you too." Jennie smiled.

She felt Jisoo rest her arms on her as they gripped the controller, it made her grimace.

"Do you like me enough to run away with me? In theory?" Jennie asked her drowsily, a yawn escaping her lips.

Jisoo blinked three times before she lowered her gaze, tearing it off from the screen for the first time that day. Then she stared at her friend.

"Why?" Jisoo questioned curiously.

"Don't respond with a question..." Jennie complained.

"Okay then..." Jisoo started to think about it. "I guess, I would." She answered, causing Jennie's eyes to sparkle, moved.

"Really?" Jennie sounded gleeful as she rolled on her side, Dalgom sneaking out and waddling on the floor.

"Sure. If we are talking about... like apocalypse, you would be a good partner. After all, you are amazing at playing Fallout." Jisoo added, making the other groan.

Jennie peeled herself off the other and walked towards the bathroom. "I'm going to brush my teeth, you can already turn the lights off if you sleep."

"All right." Jisoo nodded as Jennie left.

Jisoo turned the game off. She fluffed the pillows up and turned the lights out before she slipped into the bed. Then she remembered that she didn't give Jennie a new toothbrush yet, so she opened a cupboard and moved to the bathroom.
