After parting from Jennie at the hospital, the brunette hasn't been returning Jisoo's calls or texts. It hasn't actually been that long, not even an entire day but Jisoo still wanted to speak to her.
Because usually Jennie picks her up in the morning and they go to school together. Her parents often call her in and they have breakfast before they leave but today there was no trace of her and she didn't notify Jisoo either.
At school she hasn't seen her too. She asked their teachers and they told her she was sick and couldn't attend today.
It's a rare moment where Jisoo didn't play games on her phone. She was too worried about Jennie.
"Sunmi, are you sure her parents didn't call?" Jisoo asked her club advisor again.
"I told you, no calls, nothing. If you are that worried, go visit her. I also have homework you could give her."
Sunmi was quick to give her the stack of papers and hand that task over to Jisoo, allowing herself to have more free time.
Jisoo stashed the documents into her backpack and went to Jennie's house, after school. However no one seemed to be home.
With a sullen mood, Jisoo had to retreat. She tried it again the next day and this time her mother opened the door. She was wearing a facial mask and sunglasses while she greeted the raven.
Jisoo wanted to speak more to her and ask about Jennie but the mother seemed to be busy and quickly bid goodbye, closing the door. Jisoo sighed, leaving.
Finally, after almost two weeks, Jennie returned to school.
The relief was huge for Jisoo, she even ignored a friend who wanted to show her a new game. She went straight to the brunette and hugged her tightly.
"I missed you!" Jisoo pouted, nuzzling her face into Jennie's shoulder. She was holding her tightly like she was afraid she would disappear again.
"I'm sorry for that. I had a bad cold and was on bed rest the whole time..." Jennie coughed to emphasise her point.
Jisoo pulled back and looked at her friend. She was wearing a facial mask too, which wasn't too surprising since she sometimes does that when she is sick.
"You don't need to be sorry." Jisoo shook her head and grabbed her hand. "I'm just glad you are okay."
"I am." Jennie nodded, interlacing their fingers.
"Great, because I don't know what I would do without you. I'd have to be stuck with Lisa and her unrequited crush on Chaeyoung alone." She chuckled.
Jennie smiled when Jisoo told her she wouldn't know what to do without her. But then her face fell so fast that it made Jisoo worry.
"What's wrong-"
"WE FORGET LISA AND CHAEYOUNG IN THE FOREST!!"
Jennie's outburst caught the attention of everyone around them as they stared at them. Jisoo's mouth parted in shock, she looked at her frantic friend.
