Jisoo walked Jennie to her home. She noticed that her friend was happy as they walked together and chit chatted but when she spotted a black motorcycle at the sidewalk near her home, her mood turned sour and she seemed unhappy.
Jisoo could only assume it belongs to someone she dislikes like a neighbour? Of course there was another person Jisoo had in mind but she didn't want to read too much into it. It's definitely not like that. Still, whenever she considered it, it gave her chills.
Maybe she should make sure to confirm that certain theory of hers is completely wrong.
"Hey Jen, can I come up with you?" Jisoo asked as they came to a halt.
Jennie froze for a split second which made Jisoo stare at her cautiously, trying to read her expression for anything that gave away whether she was right or (hopefully) wrong.
"Um..." Jennie bit her bottom lip and glanced to the pavement, obviously she was nervous and that made Jisoo's stomach churn, in a bad way.
"Sure." Jennie said quickly, she probably noticed that Jisoo was suspicious and felt the need to answer quickly and remove her worries.
"But you can't stay for long, my dad likes it quiet when he's home. Because he sleeps early." Jennie explained calmly.
Even so, Jisoo knew her well enough to notice that small hint of fear in her eyes.
It's all right. It's probably as she says. She just doesn't want to wake him.
"I'll be gone soon. Let's just play one game." Jisoo bargained, receiving a nod of approval.
So the two walked upstairs. Jennie grabbed Jisoo's hand tightly and told her to be very quiet. They practically tiptoed into her apartment. Jennie didn't even turn the lights on as she opened the door.
They walked through the living room. It was dark. Jisoo couldn't really see anything but she smelled alcohol and she also heard light snoring.
Once they were in Jennie's room, the brunette locked the door and sighed in relief.
"One game." Jennie reminded quickly, rushing to her computer to turn it on.
Jisoo has been to Jennie's home before, she is familiar with her room. She also knows her mom. She's yet to be introduced to her dad.
She was actually hoping he was still awake, so she could meet him. Her plan didn't really work out and she did leave soon after that.
At home, she was still thinking about it. She told herself she was connecting non-existent dots. Jennie seemed fine after she left and her dad was sleeping peacefully. Surely the situation at Jennie's home is okay. Otherwise Jennie would have told her, right?
Jisoo answered herself with an uncertain yes and went to sleep.
