The rain beat down on the tall roof of the Asgard castle.
Y/n couldn't sleep, so she was watching the storm from her balcony.
Then, she heard muffled cries coming from the big hallway.
'Who the hell? It's 4 in the morning!'
She thought, as she followed the sound, just to be standing in front of a VERY familiar door.
It was Loki's room.
Her heart seemed to melt in her chest when she heard him like this.
"Loki?-"
She called quietly,
And it quickly got quiet.
"Come in.."
He said in a convincingly normal voice.
She slipped into the room, closing the door behind her.
"Are you ok?"
Loki looked at her, the whites of his eyes were pink, and she could tell that he had been crying for a long time.
"I'm fine y/n...are you having trouble sleeping?"
He asked, as she sat down beside him.
"Yeah...the thunderstorm is pretty loud...so I was watching it from my balcony."
She wrapped an arm around him.
"Tell me what's wrong.."
Loki sighed, looking up at the ceiling, then he met her eyes.
"Back when me and Thor were children...there was a story that Odin would tell us on the nights when there was a storm.."
He paused.
"What was the story?"
Y/n asked out of curiosity.
"He would tell us, that monsters would come under the protection of the storm, and would attack people,
And I'M one of those monsters!"
Y/n grabbed his shoulders, moving his body to look into her gaze.
"Loki, you are NOT a monster...
because to the Jotun...The Asgardians are the monsters! There is no such thing as monsters...just unique beings that complete us!"
Loki looked at her with a small smirk.
"So I complete you?"
Y/n blushed.
"Is that what you want to hear?"
"Yes" he smirked.
She leaned in, and they both embraced each other, kissing each other tenderly, and lovingly.
That night, they knew...
They would start looking forewards to the stormy nights to come.
