A Struggle Within Itself

Chapter 2

Genniffer's Pov

I see Jaylen's tall staggering ass standing in front of me. I smiled standing there in a brown sun dress. Jaylen was about 6'3 and he was dark skinned. But just barely. He had a nice body and has some sexy ass lips. You could say he was my middle school sweetheart. Maybe if he didn't do me wrong like he did, then he would still be mine.

"So are you going to invite me in?" Jaylen asked, knocking me out of my thoughts. I rolled my eyes.

"Um, Yeah whats the magic word" I teased him. Jaylen bit his lip.

"Please?" He said with a fake smile. I smiled and motioned for him to come in. I walked him back to my living room, where my family was. Jaylen took a seat in a chair in the living room. I heard a knock at the door.

"I'll get it" I chimed. I ran to the door only to see my two bestfriends Aqua and Brian. Aqua was a nice thick brown skin. I met her in middle school. When I first met her she was a thot and to this day she still is one. When I first met her, I'll be honest I didn't like her. But eventually Aqua became my friend over time. As for Brian he was a nice looking lightskin. But his skin wasn't lighter than mine though. He was tall, hell who wasn't taller than me? He had pretty ass eyes and had a smile that could make any girl wanna smile back at him. I met him in middle school through Jaylen. He was his bestfriend too so of course.

"Hey Gen!" Aqua screached and gave me a hug. " I can't beleive school starts tommorow we gonna tear up at Morfield since we aren't freshmen anymore" She squeaked still hugging me.

"I know right" I chuckled.

'Hey Gen" Brian said all calm and smooth. Brian gave me a hug. A long one and the nigga wouldn't let go. He held me tight around my waist and his hands slowly started to get closer and closer to my butt.

"Okay you can let go now" I giggled. Brian laughed at this a little and finally let go of me. But not before he smacked me right on the ass. My mouth hung in awe.

"You better stop!" I laughed punching Brian playfully in the shoulder. "My whole family is here, they will kill you if they saw that." Aqua and Brian laughed. I walked them into the the living room next to where Jaylen was sitting in a comfy arm chair. Jaylen looked up at me. He shook up with Brian and gave Aqua a side hug.

"Ayye so Gen, why we here again" Brian asked.

"I told you already, my brother is coming back home." I informed them. All three of them looked at me in amazement.

"You have a brother?" They all asked in unison.

"Yeah." I said awkwardly. "I never told you guys that I had a brother?" I tried winging it. Okay so the thing is my brother left when I was young. Like when I was about eight. My dad says he sent him to a "reformatory" or something like that. My family didn't talk about him much. So I didn't talk about him either.

"What is his name?" Aqua blurted out.

"Treyvian"

"Girl is he cute?" Aqua asked begining to bounce her legs open and close.

"Girl I don't know. I haven't seen my brother in years." I started to walk off into the kitchen to check on my always-busy mother. I saw her preparing the last of our food. I could smell the delicous smell of chicken, green beans, corn, mash potatoes and gravy, macoroni and cheese, grits, and some ham. It all looked apetizing and my mouth watered just from the smell of it.

"Hey mama when is Treyvian getting here?" I questioned.

"I don't know, must be running late" My mom sputtered, not looking up from the food she was cooking. I sighed. I couldn't wait for my brother to come back home.

Flashback

"Uno I win"

"Thats not fair Twey you always win uno" I whined crossing my arms.

"Nah little sis you just got to know how to play the game." Treyvian smiled refixing our game of Uno. I pouted and looked around Treyvian's room. I saw a small package on the floor next to Treyvian's bed.

"Whats that?" I yelled out pointing to the package on the floor. I stood up off the floor and waddled over to it and picked it up. " Whats this green stuff Trey? It look like mama's green tea." I held it up and showed him. Trey quickly got up from off the floor and snatched the package from out my hands.

"Gen didn't I tell you not to be snooping through my shit!" Treyvian grumpled. Trey bent down and stuffed it under his bed. I started to cry.

" But I wasn't snoopin. And mama says we not suppose to say stuff like that" I cried.

"Whatever get out!" My brother yelled. He threw me out of his room and locked his door behind me. I cried my eyes out and begged for him to let me come back into his room.

"Gen... Gen... Genniffer!" my mom bellowed knocking me out of my thoughts. I looked up at her. "Go get the door." She commanded. I left without a word and did as I was told. I could hear someone banging on the door. I hate it when people do that. They act like they ain't got no patience. I opened the door and I see yet another tall person standing infront of me.

"Hey Gen" The man said hoarsley. I scanned the man up and down. He had brown skin. He looked young. He had a goatee and had an in toxicating cologne. I stared at him for awhile not knowing what to say.

"Trey?" I finally said.

"Yeah how you been lil sis?" He smiled. I remeber his smiled the way his lips curled when he made that face. The way his eyes would squint. I couldn't beleive Trey was standing right in front of me. I felt like I was eight again playing our typical game of Uno sitting on the floor. A tear fell from my face. Treyvian wiped it off. I wrapped my arms around him and laid my head on his chest and hugged him.
