Chapter 27

Flashback
Jaylen's Pov

Genniffer walked fiercely down the sidewalk. I pursued after her and ran.

"Genniffer wait up!" I called out to her. She picked up her pace. So I sped up. I still had my cleets and shoudler pads from football so it felt like I still out on the field. I kept chasing after her till we were both running. It felt like my heart was running away from me and I was on the field trying to tackle it down.

We were about in between my house and hers I got close enough and grabbed her arm. She turned around quick and bit my hand. I jerked my hand back. She tried away again so I grabbed both of her arms and shook her. She closed her eyes and kept her head down.

"Genniffer!" I eyed her down but she kept her face shrouded in her hair and faced to the ground. "Look at me." I shook her again. She looked up. She looked absolutely gorgeous. Although her face wad flourished with red and watery eyes. "Genniffer I'm sorry." She pulled her arms away and started to walk away"

"No!" She crossed her arms and kept her bacl torwards me.

"You sounded beautiful up on stage. When you sung Unconditionally you got me right here." I pointed to my heart.

"I didn't sing it for you. At least now I didn't." She looked up at the stars. "I did it for the people who showed up for the game." She grumbled.

"Genniffer don't be like that."

"Be like what?" She interjected. "Be like a person who's hurt. You know I can't even understand or why you were with her. And that's the worst part I don't understand. It hurts so much. I don't know what I did wrong for you do that to me. You couldn't even of done it in the secrecy of your own home. You had to do it at school." Gen's back was still facing me. I could see tear drops splatter on the sidewalk. "Just so were clear. We're done." She started to walk again.

"Genniffer I love you!" I said it in hopes she would stop and come back. It worked she turned around and looke me in my eyes. She gazed at me that cut me deep.

"How I wish that were true." She snapped.

"Genniffer it is I'm serious!" She sat there for a moment in silence. She hummed something and slowly got louder.

"What is love?" Genniffer began to sing. "If you're not here with me? What is love? If it's not guaranteed?"

"But it is. I'm standing right here with you."

"What is love, if it just ups and leaves?"
She went silent again. She ran away inside to her house.

I fucking hate mornings. But it's just another day you gotta thank God for. I forced myself out of bed. I put on some blue tru religion jeans, black and blue Kd's, and a black North Face. I grabbed my bookbag, keys and headed to Gen's house. I went upstairs into Genniffer's room. She was getting dressed. She was putting on her shirt and had her pink laced panties showing. She grabbed the first thing saw, which were some jeans and threw them at me.

"Ugh Jaylen get out!" I caught her pants and laughed.

"Don't pretend like I haven't seen that beauty your hiding in them clothes." I joked. She snatched her pants from me and slid them on. I grabbed Gen by her waist. "So how was it hanging out with Kobe?" She looked over at her bed.

"It was fine" She smiled. I looked over at the bed.

"Did anything happen?" She shook her head "No." A devious grin formed on my face. I grabbed Gen's butt. "Well do you want anything to happen now." I kissed her neck. I brushed her back and left a mark on her neck. She sat down on her bed. I kissed her neck some more and started to raise her shirt.

Her doorknob turned and the door creeked open. Gen kicked me hard in the leg and I fell on the ground. She pulled down her shirt. Brian came in and I laughed.

"Damn Brian, you and your cockblocking ass interupting something." Gen kicked my side and Brian gave us a bizarre look.

"My bad I was just tryna see if Genniffer would come and make some breakfast. " brian started to shut the door.

"No it's fine. Nothing was gonna happen anyway." Genniffer stood up and followed after Brian.

Later in school about fifth period geometry I had Genniffer give me the answers to our classswork. The bell soon rung. I packed up my things and and walked Genniffer to the door. She gave me a kiss and told me "See you later." A big cheesy smile formed on my face as she left. She is so damn sexy. My thoughts were interupted by someone tapping on my shoulder. I looked over mh shoulder and saw none other than Victoria. Her little henchmen, Jessica and Anna stood behind. They all stared at me with a evil smirk on their faces. I sighed. "What do yall want?"

"Awwn why the long face?" Victoria questioned and tilted her head.

"Yeah you should be happy with Victoria is about to ask you." Anna added. Anna was like the blonde in the group and completely slow. She was completely Victoria's puppet. Victoria rolled her eyes.

"Yeah want something from that little tiny girl you follow around " Victoria crossed her arms. I looked at Victoria's long legs

"What do you want from Genniffer? And please don't make fun of her height."

"Please don't pretend like you don't make fun of that one guy who was the same height as her. What was his name, Kobe or something? Anyways thanks for getting how legged I am" I gave Victoria a weird look. Anna and Jessica giggled. "I wanted to invite her to a party I'm having tonight." I raised up both my eyebrows. This was just as mind boggling as the math work I had Gen do for me.

"Why would you want Genniffer to come to your party." I started to walk out into the hallway. Victoria came up and stepped in my way.

"I wasn't finished talking. I want her come, no strings attached." Victoria gave a look that didn't seem trustworthy.

"No she's not coming. She even bear your presence." I started to leave again. Victoria stopped me again and put one finger on my chest.

"Slow your roll Bryant." Victoria flipped her hair and fluttered her large fake eyelashes with a thick amount of mascara clumped on them. She leaned over to my ear. "Last I checked your girl was investigating who was the first to ride that big black joy stick of yours. Now if you can't make her come to my party I'll be happy to clear that up for her. I mean come on once upon a time I told her that 'I will get your man'." Victoria back up and rejoined her girls. I groaned at being reminded of me lying to Gen. Victoria and her clique walked away like they were apart of the movie Mean Girls or something.

I went to lunch and sat down at my usual lunch table with my friends. I looked at Victoria take her seat her table. She gave me a nod torwards Genniffer as if telling me to invite her to her party. I don't even understand why. I turned to her. I couldn't let Victoria tell Genniffer that Victoria was my first. She would be crushed once again that she lost another thing to Victoria.

"Hey Genniffer" I took a breathe.

"Wassup?"

"This is stupid but um" I chuckled a little. " Victoria I guess is having a party tonight and she wants you to come." Gen shook her head and thought it over. My heart sunk at the knowing Genniffer's answer and my secret getting out to her.

"I'll go" She answered. My eyes widened. Gen got up and gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked away.
