A Struggle Within Itself

Chapter 16

Genniffer's Pov
Week Later Homecoming Week

Me, Aqua, and Crispy were heading off to the mall to look for dresses to wear to Homecoming. Oh I also somehow convinced Treyvian to come with us. I told him I would help him look for something nice to wear to homecomng. Him and Jaylen had gotten real busy and Jaylen said they have to lay low for a while at the Trap house so I haven't talked to him for a while. We didn't even have a chance to cordinate matching outfits for Homecoming.

So today I'll find the perfect dress and tell Jaylen to find something to wear that will compliment it. We went to the mall. We decided to look for dresses first and then I'll go off and help find something for Trey. We went into the perfect store. We looked around. Crispy was on the phone the whole time talking to Brian. I got annoyed because what could they possibly talk about for that long? Aqua caught me mugging her a couple of times while we went through the clothes racks.

"Gen stop staring! She on the phone let her business be." Aqua joked.

"I know. She's talking to Brian. She suppose to be hanging with us. Not talking his ear off. Plus what could they be talking about for so long." I growled. I flipped through some clothes.

"Awwwn is someone jealous?"

"No" I looked away over at Treyvian. He was sitting down waiting for us to finish shopping. Aqua looked over at him too.

"Gen I need to do something to grab your brother's attention. Maybe the right clothes. How does my make up look?"

"Ew Aqua. He is too old for you. And your make up is just fine by the way. Maybe you shouldn't wear so much. I think you will look better without it." I complimented her. Aqua lit up.

"Whatever don't try and be funny. Look for a dress and don't worry about how much fondation I need." Aqua smiled. We looked around somemore. Crispy found a nice purple dress that stretched out to the floor. It had a black tie that went around the waist and ends hung low. Aqua found a nice dress that was extra high. But it was long enough for her to wear to the dance so I guess it was cool. For me I found a nice, blue high low dress. Once Jaylen saw it he won't be able to keep his hands off of me.

"Girl you are going to be a show stopper!" Crispy yelled.

"Thank you. Your going to look amazing too. Brian is just going to die when he sees you in that." I told her. I tried to be nice. It was hard to say because my stomach didn't sit right. I liked the thought of having Brian's mind set on me. He never really had or dated anyone since I've known him. Mostly I feel this way because how I feel about hjm after our kiss.

"Do Genniffer you got that worked out?" You over Brian that little thing with Brian?" Aqua asked.

"Excuse me what?" Crispy asked with an attititude. She glared at me. I swatted at Aqua and pulled her off to the side.

"What are you doing?" I whispered.

"Gen don't play. After you told me about you and Brian's kiss. You set Brian and Crispy up. And please don't tell me you didn't do it because you were feeling generous because after they got together you can't take your eyes out of their relationship." I looked over ar Crispy. She eyed us down. I turned back toAqua.

"Okay yes I set Brian and Crispy up so I could take my mind off of him so I could focus on Jaylen."

"Mmm so you like Brian."

"Yes."

"And Jaylen." I looked over at Crispy again.

"Okay Yes I like both of them." I said softly.
Aqua laughed.

"Gen I can't say I didn't see this coming sooner or later."

"What?"

"Genniffer don't beat around the bush." I sighed. Crispy made a fake cough sound to remind us that she was still waiting on one of us to explain.

"Yes. I know I know... and I've come to some conclusions. I'm in love with Jaylen..." Aqua made a face as if she didn't beleive me. "And I have a crush on Brian." Aqua made a face if she wasn't just yet pleased." Okay more than a crush. Okay a lot more than a crush!"

"I knew it!"

"Shut up hoe." I laughed.

"Mmm you not in the place to be talking right now." Aqua turned me around to explain myself to Crispy. I just told her some lie. She seemed to beleive it. Or she was just agreeing with me and in her mind cussing me the fuck out. Treyvian got up to come over to us.

"Alright come on you girls been here all day. Let's get me something and bounce. I got somewhere to be."

"Boy you can wait. You know you just wanna go somewhere so you can play with yourself." I teased. All us girls laughed.

"Well you know I can help you anytime" Aqua said. She rubbed her hand on Treyvian's arm.

"Bye, Aqua and Crispy" I laughed. I gave them a hug. Aqua slapped Trey on the butt and left.

'I'm sorry for her" I laughed.

"Nah its okay shawty a lil freak" Trey laughed. We walked over to a guy store that had some nice clothes. I went around and tried to find something for him. Trey stood close behind me and followed close behind.

"Do I really have to find something to wear? I got enough clothes from mom at home." Treyvian complained.

"Yes" I demanded. "All you wear are tanks and polo shirts."

"So what's wrong with polo? Polo is always in style."

"Just admit that your afraid to change up your look." I smiled. I looked around and found a nice suit to wear. We went to the check out line. While we were in line. I looked out the stores front window. I saw Kobe. My body got goosebumps from excitement as soon as I saw him. I told Trey I'll be right back and to pay for the suit himself. I went out the store and sure enough it really was Kobe. He looked good. He was like the only boy that was actually my height. He looked really good.

"Kobe?" I yelled. He looked up from his phone. He grew the biggest smile on his face ever. He ran over to me and hugged me.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I still live around here duhh. I didn't move." He laughed." Plus I'm shopping for some clothes with my bro-" Trey comes up from behind me and grabs my waist. He almost made me jump. Trey looked over my shoulder and stared at Trey. Kobe bit his tongue. I tried to push Trey away. "So um hows it going and how come you didn't come to my party?"

"I'm good. Something came up. Had some things to take care of. But I assure you next time I won't stand you up again" He grinned. I smiled. He looked at Treyvian holding on to me like I was his girl or something. "Well I can see you got something going but here is my number. I'll be in town for a while. Don't be scared to call. Oh and nice to meet you." Kobe held out his hand to Trey. They shook hands.

"The names Trey" Kobe nodddd his head. He grabbed my hand and kissed it and left. I cheesed really big as he walked away. He brought back many memories of jealousy he put Brian and Jaylen through over me. I pushed Trey off of me.

"You are so not cool. What you touching me for?" I shouted.

"To make sure he ain't try nothing funny. You know I gotta make up for being a big brother to you." He said.

"Your the best big brother ever." I giggled. We got our clothes and went home.
