after about 1 hour into the drive. kio lowers the music. i turn around to him.

kio: dude i have to talk to u

vinnie gulps

vinnie: yeah what's up?
kio: i just have to ask... uh is there something going on between u and my sister?
vinnie: what! no! no! definitely not!

he panics. kio sighed.

kio: u can tell me, i've seen the way u look at her...
vinnie: um
kio: please just tell me the truth
vinnie: i mean she's very pretty but she's ur sister
kio: is that a yes or no?

vinnie puts his elbows on his knees and his hands over his face.

vinnie: ... yes
kio: i fucking knew it
vinnie: i'm so sorry i didn't mean to catch feelings
kio: does she feel the same?
vinnie: how would i know?
kio: vinnie!
vinnie: i don't know man i don't think so!

kio plays a new song and just ignores vinnie for the whole ride

(nai's pov)
i woke up to vinnie not hugging me. i turn around and he's not there at all. i check his socials and he hasn't posted since yesterday. i walk up the stairs and into his room, no vinnie. i walk into kio's room, no kio. i call vinnie up on face time. he picks up.

vinnie: hey nai.

kio turns around

nai: vinnie! where are u ?!!!!
vinnie: kio's driving me to my grandparents house
nai: why did u leave without saying good bye? :(
kio: what about me ?
nai: u too, why didn't u guys tell me?
vinnie: i'm sorry we didn't wanna wake u up
nai: understandable, how far away are u guys from seattle?
vinnie: about 3 minutes
nai: alr well i'm going to charli's house stay safe
both: u too!

i get up and i take the bus to charli's house. i knock onto her door and nobody answers. i take the back door and i knock on charli's door

nai: charli u there?

she didn't answer

nai: charli!
charli: what who's there!

i open the door

nai: it's me
charli: dude u scared me
nai: lmao
charli: not funny

i hop into bed with her

nai: how are you?
charli: i've been better :(

i hug her really tightly

nai: everything's gonna be ok
charli: thanks nai
nai: i'm always here for u
charli: wait- u smell really good? like men's cologne?
nai: hehe. i have a lot to tell you

like 5 minutes later

charli: NO WAY
nai: YES WAY
charli: OMG IVE MISSED ALOOOTTT
nai: U DEFINITELY HAVE!!
charli: shit kio's calling me
nai: don't tell him im here!

nai: just don't.

kio: hey
charli: hey are u ok?
kio: ye just dropped vinnie off. is nai there?
charli: no
kio: but she said she was on her way to u
charli: yeah she just texted me she's on the way here
kio: well vinnie likes nai

i slapped my hand over my mouth

charli: what?
kio: yeah he just told me

kio: i don't know what to do
charli: i think u should leave them alone
kio: i cant it's my fucking little sister, what if he breaks her innocent heart. plus it's weird for my sibling to date my best friend. i don't like it at all.
charli: hypocrite
kio: what?
charli: ur literally doing the same thing to her. u think she likes us dating?
kio: u have a point, but vinnie's a fuckboy
charli: no he's not
kio: yea he is he has dated over 20 girls
charli: damn
kio: yeah

charli: stop being so overprotective, i understand that that's impossible but just tone it down. let nai be happy.
kio: yea, i mean i could slowly tone it down but as if right now she's off limits. i mean they barely know each other, i'd rather them get to know each other then them just fucking. i've seen the way they look at each other. nai looks happier when she's with him

the call ends and charli turns to me.
