(nai's pov)

i lay in bed with vinnie.

vinnie: do you see yourself with me in like ten years?
nai: of course i do.
vinnie: i can't see myself with someone other then you. like i try to imagine it but it's impossible. i only see you.

i kiss him.

nai: me too.
vinnie: when do you wanna have kids?
nai: well, i first want to be engaged young. then married like two years later. then wait a couple years before having kids.
vinnie: that sounds like a good plan.
nai: well when are you proposing mister?🤨

vinnie chuckled.

vinnie: do you want me to propose?
nai: of course i do!
vinnie: don't u think it's too early?
nai: no
vinnie: i think it's too early
nai: not me
vinnie: ur really THAT sure?
nai: yep

he smiled and kissed me.

we walk downstairs and everyone's looking at us.

nai: great, everyone knows.
avani: i'm so sorry nai
nai: no i wanted it to be negative.
avani: oh, congratulations?

i slightly smile at her. this was tuff. i really thought i was pregnant. it felt weird to go back to our normal lives.

i sit in the kitchen while vinnie cooks food. kio comes in and sits next to me. i'm laying my head on the table.

kio: i'm sorry for yelling nai. i was freaking out.
nai: weren't we all?

he sighs.

kio: mom and dad are coming back home tomorrow.

i lift my head up

nai: WHAT?? WHY HAVENT U TOLD ME THAT EARLIER??
kio: i just found out.

i look over to vinnie. he was biting his lip. he was nervous. our parents knew vinnie since he was young but they haven't seen him in a couple years. he's changed a lot. i walk over to him and i hug him from the back.

nai: i promise you, they'll love you. they loved you before and they'll love you now.
vinnie: i know but what do i do if they don't?
kio: vinnie my mom literally never stops talking about you. vinnie this, vinnie that.
vinnie: but what about ur dad?
nai: dw.
vinnie: what if they don't like me dating nai.
kio: stop overthinking.
nai: kio, do i have to tell them about the pregnancy test?
kio: hell yeah u have to.

i sighed.

vinnie: what if they'll get mad at me for taking ur virginity? or almost getting you pregnant?
nai: they're not as protective as mister kio over here.

kio rolled his eyes. i stand on my toes and i kiss vinnie. kio rolled his eyes again. he was still not comfortable to us being ''touchy'' with each other. and i understand him. i mean put ur self in his position.

vinnie: i'm still not convinced that they won't hate me.

i chuckled and sat up on the counter.

nai: when exactly are they coming?
kio: tomorrow at 2 pm. we'll go there immediately.
vinnie: maybe i should stay home. they've had a long vacation and probably a long flight. they're probably tired.
kio: that's actually true. u could come over for dinner later when they're in a better mood.
vinnie: yeah, sounds good.
nai: why are you so nervous
vinnie: i've never met the parents of my girlfriend.
kio: dude, you know our parents.
vinnie: no, i knew them. that was more then ten years ago.
nai: they're the same i promise.

vinnie sighed and put the pasta in plates. he gave one to kio and one to me. he grabbed his one and sat down. i sit with them at the table.

vinnie: kio, how's ur relationship with charli?
kio: she forgave me. and im trying to keep my temper. i think i have anger issues.
nai: kio, u think? u have anger issues, period.
kio: yeah.

time skip → two hours

(kio's pov)

i decided to go talk to charli. i walk up the stairs and i walk into the hallway. i arrive at her room and i open the door.

kio: hey ch-

i see nick on top of her, kissing her. he was shirtless. it was so hard to watch. she noticed me and pulled away. nick looked over at the door and saw me. he got off her and stood up. he walked towards me and shut the door right on my face. i heard him lock it too. my heart shattered into million pieces. i walked back into my room. i started crying. why the fuck was i crying? i've seen them kiss before. but idk, it was just different this time. i lay on my bed, cuddling my big teddy bear. i'm going to sound like a creep but, i was pretending it was charli. it still smelled like her. i love her so much. i cried my heart out. vinnie and nailea suddenly walked in.

vinnie: kio, me n nai are g-

i quickly wiped my tears away. nai walked in.

nai: kio are you okay?
kio: yeah i'm fine.

she sat down with me.

nai: what happened?
kio: i can't fucking move on. she has but i can't.

vinnie also walked in.

nai: kiooo

she hugged me. i started crying again.

kio: i just don't understand why i did what i did. it was stupid and pointless. nothing could ever feel better then her touch. i miss her. i miss her laugh, the way she hugged me, the way she talks in her sleep, how she would jump up in my lap when we watched scary movies, the way her beautiful long brown hair would blow in the wind, how focused she was when she did her makeup, the way she held my hand at every opportunity she had, the way she only sang for me and nobody else, how she kissed my forehead and played with my hair, how she ALWAYS wanted to do my makeup. i just miss her so bad. i bet nick doesn't even know that she hates tomatoes, or that she hates when people chew with their mouth open. i bet he chews with his mouth open.

nailea giggled at that last sentence.

nai: to be honest, i didn't even know these things about her. u really know her.
kio: of course i do, i love her. sorry this is embarrassing.
vinnie: it's not, you're allowed to be sad. i know this hurts, but you won't always feel this way. you need to let yourself feel everything you need to feel. this might take some time but it'll be worth it. i believe in you. me and nailea are here for you anytime you need us. if u wanna do something, just ask. if u need help with anything, ask.

we hug. nailea joined us. i felt better.

vinnie: as i was going to ask. me and nai are going to a restaurant, do you wanna join us? it'll make you feel better.
kio: i think i'll stay, thank you tho.
vinnie: of course.
