Daiyu rarely leaves her home but every decade or so she will go out and make sure that the world is still in-tact and her barriers are up.
"Hong can we please get going," Boquin asked his sister.
"We will go when I'm done getting ready," she retorted with an annoyed expression. Boquin just sighed as this was normal.
"Hong, Daiyu is probably waiting, and you don't want to disappoint her, right?" That seemed to have done the trick as Hong quickly threw all her things in her sealing pouch and quickly combed through her hair.
"Ready!" Hong shouted, and accidentally swung her pouch into Boquin's face which he just barely dodged.
Boquin then proceeded to walk down the stairs alone so he could go meet Daiyu out front. While Hong jumped out the window and nearly gave the shop owner outside a heart attack, not that he could get one considering he's dead.
They then proceeded to walk to the entrance where Daiyu was waiting. Waving to the civilians outside as they went about their day. As the head royal guards, Hong and Boquin were respected and were met with bows.
When they got to the front they saw Daiyu waving some kids goodbye as they ran with big smiles on their faces.
"I don't understand how you could like children, they're so irritating," Hong said with a disgusted look on her face. Daiyu just sighed.
"Good Morning to you as well Hong, good morning Boquin."
"Good morning milady," Boquin said with a bow, and smacked Hong upside the face.
"Sorry, morning to you too," Hong mumbled as she glared at Boquin.
"It's fine, ready to get going?" The siblings nodded and they started to head out. For longer trips they would usually take dragons, but seeing as they didn't want to shock the outside world, they decided to fly on their swords.
Hong had two swords named Hua and Heng. They both looked the same but one had a red handle with gold embellishments, while the other was blue with silver embellishments. The red one could emit fire from it, while the blue one emitted lightning.
Boquin had one sword named Feng. It had a silver handle and shined brightly. Unlike Hong's fire based swords, Boquins was meant for water usage, and it could emit water and ice.
Daiyu had one sword named Jun meaning 'truth'. Her sword was deep black with red and gold embellishments. It could slice through anything, and being as powerful as she was, she even had enough energy to give her sword the ability to become a person.
They set off on their swords and began to fly over the outlands of Star City. They passed dragon's cove, the elf and fairy lands, and arrived at the barriers. Daiyu carefully made a small hole in her barrier and passed through it with her two guards. The energy change could be felt right away. It went from clear air, to a dark and dense feel. But she could definitely tell that something was different from normal. The 'Burial Mounds' as the outsiders liked to call it fell out of tune, almost as if someone was messing with the dark energy. I could tell that Boquin felt it too as we gave each other the same look.
"Let's track the energy and see where it leads us." Daiyu then proceeded to call the dark energy towards her and she saw the trail leading to her answers. The three quickly flew to where the energy was leading them, but what they saw shocked them.
There were people living there?
