Wei Wuxian heavily sighed as he was forced into another meal yet again. He hadn't been in Star City even a day, yet he's gotten more than he has in his whole life. When Daiyu told Wuxian about being her assistant, he thought that she ment as a servant. Not that he minded considering it would've been a million times better life than he had living in the Burial Mounds. However, what he was not expecting was to be treated as nobility. Apparently being the assistant to a thousand year old goddess and empress meant you were practically a king.
After the old woman dragged them off to meet he got to know her.. And about another hundred people. Her name was Ah Lam; which is another weird thing here, everyone here only has one name. She died around a hundred years ago, she had apparently been a small sect leader which sadly the sect no longer exists. When she had died, her spirit remained and travelled to the forbidden lands where Daiyu had found her. She had given her a position in her court, and has treated her and remaining sect members of hers kindly. Ah Lam believed that even if Daiyu was much older than her, she felt the need to take care of her as her own granddaughter.
Ah Lam took a great interest in A-Yuan and even declared that she would watch over him as Wuxian would be busy most of the time, with which Wuxian gladly agreed. He loved his little radish, but he knew that A-Yuan would be well taken care of.
Wuxian asked a servant about his housing who was about to lead him to it before he was stopped by a group of very flashy people. They were decked out from top to bottom in fine jewelry and silky robes. They had started asking him millions of questions about where he had come from. They even invited him to go with them for drinks which he gladly accepted.
Although he probably shouldn't have considered they had a much higher alcohol tolerance than him which was surprising, he had ended up partying with them all night, before he felt himself black out finally.

As Wuxian woke up he realized two things. The first thing is that he was in an actual bed, not passed out on a hard floor. The second thing was that he probably shouldn't drink that much again considering he has a massive hangover.
He took a look around his room, which looked less like a room and more like a giant suite. He could also see clothing in a closet, and all his belongings in here meaning it is his room. He was on a king bed which had two dressers on the side, along with two desks and a mice setting area. The furniture was all dark cherry wood, and there were red embellishments everywhere. He also saw a large window which overlooked the whole castle which was frankly the biggest building he has ever been in. Wuxian decided that he would get ready for the day.
He wanted to pick out simple clothing, but apparently his closet didn't have any. He ended up picking out a deep black robe that had gold dragons embellished all over. He also took a quick bath to get rid of the smell of alcohol from the night before. He finished getting dressed and was about to head out when he heard a knock.
"Come in."
"Good morning master Wei, we are here to do your hair and deliver your breakfast."
"I don't really need it, but thank you."
"Boquin requested that we deliver the food and that you look proper for Daiyu as you need to put up appearances." Wuxian sighed and let them do what they came here for. Ever since he left the Burial Mounds, Wuxians hair had grown to tremendous amounts. It was now almost grazing the floor meaning a lot of work was needed. The servants did little intricate braids all tied off with a silky gold ribbon and a hair piece on top. He thanked them and then proceeded to eat his overly large breakfast which was usually enough for a few days. He was finally ready to head out and start his new life.
