"Are we almost there gege?" Jia whined, flying closer to Wuxian.

"We are approaching Yunmeng, we will stay there for a few days before going to Lanling."

"Buuuut my hair is getting messy."

"Then fix it when we get to the inn. We have it booked out so no one will see you before then."

"But gege I only want to look good for you," Jia said seductively. Boquin was starting to get annoyed.

"How about we race you there Xianxian," he asked, giving Wuxian a goofy grin along with a cute nickname.

"Challenge accepted, 3, 2, 1, GO!" and they were off.

"Auntie, can we race too? A-Yuan asked, looking at Daiyu. He could ride a sword already, but he was too young to do it for this long of a distance.

"I suppose we could go faster," she said before taking off. Although she was elegant and graceful, she was secretly very competitive. Jia crossed her arms.

"Why am I always getting left behind?" she huffed, before speeding after them.

"We win!!" A-Yuan exclaimed, getting off the sword.

"I suppose, but haha, I beat you Boquin, meaning that you get to buy drinks tonight," he gleamed. Boquin wished he won so he could request something from A-Xian, but congratulated him nonetheless.

"Is this our inn?" asked Boquin.

"Yep! I used to stay here when I got too drunk to go back to Lotus Pier. It's a good inn, and plus I used to know the owners well." The others nodded and proceeded to walk inside.

"Hello, we have the inn booked out for the Likun sect." An older woman turned around and looked at the extravagantly dressed people in front of him. She then saw a familiar looking face, only older.

"Young master Wei, is that you??"

"Yes, hi grangran!" he said, and the older woman pulled him into a hug, almost sucking the life out of him.

"How have you been, I thought you disappeared, are you with a new sect, you look so much older, what happened?

"Hehe, long story, why don't I tell you about it after the others settle in." She finally remembered that there were others there.

"Oh, yes, right this way. I'm happy you are staying here." She led them to their rooms. A-Yuan and Jun were sharing a room as they were close friends. The other four had their own rooms, with Wuxian and Daiyu having suites. While the others settled in and got a little rest, Wuxian decided that he would catch up with grangran. He walked down the stairs and sat by a table.

"Grangran, would you like to talk, and maybe eat something? I'm really hungry," he said, pouting.

"Yes, of course dear." She came back around five minutes later with a large plate of food and a bottle of wine, she knew him well.

"So, what happened to you?" she asked with a concerned but happy look.

"Well, I got kicked out of the Jiang sect and ended up in the Burial Mounds with the remaining Wens who were just elderly and children. But Daiyu, who was the lady with silver hair, offered us a home. We became sworn siblings shortly after, and we have decided to come out as a sect recently."

"Ah, how wonderful, I was very concerned when people said you went missing. Don't give this old woman another heart attack," she said, dramatically clutching her heart.

"Of course grangran. By the way, what's been going on in Yunmeng?" Grangrans face became a little sad.

"Our economy is not doing that great. The Jins are causing problems left and right, and the Jiang sect is going downhill. They no longer have good cultivators, and Master Jiang has become very closed off ever since you went missing." Wuxian had a guilty expression.

"Ah, well, I'm hoping we can fix that," Wuxian mumbled.

"What was that deary?"

"Nothing, nothing." They spent about an hour reminiscing about when Wuxian was thirteen and how he couldn't handle his liquor back then. They also talked about how Yunmeng had been doing, and he got to hear about old friends. Around 10pm he decided that he would go to bed, and wished grangran a goodnight. He walked up the stairs, slightly tipsy from the amount of alcohol he had.

"Are you sure you're ready for this?" A voice asked. Wuxian turned to see Boquin at the top of the stairs.

"What do you mean?"

"The sects betrayed you, and even your own brother and friends. Are you sure you're ready to see them again?"

"I'll be fine, and plus, I've got you to protect me," he said grinning slightly.

"I suppose, goodnight A-Xian."

"Goodnight Boquin," he responded before entering his room. 'I'll be fine, I'm sure I will', he thought to himself. He's completely fine with seeing his siblings, and is ready to give some of the cultivators a piece of his mind. He thought he'd be fine, but a single thought entered his mind.
