Chapter 3
I listened intently as the meathead jocks were leaving my house. As soon as I heard the door click shut, I jumped out of my room and sprinted down the stairs to see my brother looking for a place to run. But I was stronger and faster. He dived into the living room and I followed him. I wanted to play him for a while so I let him dodge me until we were on either sides of the mahogany coffee table and then I pounced on him growling.
He tried to claw at me but I ducked and weaved my head around them. Sure, he is fast but I am faster. I pinned his shoulders to the floor whilst catching his arms and straddling them. I smiled evilly. “Where were you?” I whispered.
“I was here.” He shrugged but I could see past his nonchalant facade. I pinned down his shoulders harder knowing that I could snap them like twigs if needs be.
“And why weren’t you waiting for me?” I said through a sickly sweet smile.
“I-” but he was cut off by a slight growl. I turned my head and Jeremy craned his neck towards the doorway. I looked at the woman standing against the door. “MOM!” Jeremy screamed in excitement. He was such a mommy’s boy. I rolled my eyes at him.
“Melissa, how many times have I told you to not beat up your brother?” My mother glared at me. I snarled.
“Yeah, Melissa.” Jeremy smirked. I pinned his shoulders down so hard that they were almost about to break.
“MELISSA!” My mom shouted at me. I wasn’t her favourite child and she wasn’t my favourite parent. It’s not like we didn’t get along it’s just that since I’m the next Alpha, I spend so much time with my dad that she never got to do the normal mother-daughter things that we were meant to do together.
“It’s not her fault that her brother is such a wuss.” I heard a voice say from the hallway. I jumped off Jeremy and ran out to see my dad.
“Daddy!” I squealed whilst jumping into his arms. Okay, I may be a daddy’s girl but it’s better that being a mommy’s boy.
“Hey baby girl.” My dad said to me while lifting me up in arms. I smiled in glee as he spun me round and round just like he used to when I was seven. “So, how’s senior year going?” He asked plopping e down on the floor.
“It’s good apart from the fact that Jeremy left me to walk home in the rain.” I shrugged, knowing that Jeremy was going to get it.
Dad glared at Jeremy. “Jeremy Aloysius Leonardo Sanchez...” Dad growled at him. Oh, full name, including the Aloysius; that is never a good sign.
“Dad, I can explain!” He squeaked before dashing off to his room with my dad hot on his tail. My mum looked at me like she knew I did it on purpose (which I did but she doesn’t need to know that).
“What?” I said nonchalantly whilst walking up the stairs and into my room, ready to do some homework

The relentless beeping of my alarm clock woke me up as I smashed my hand on it to make it shut the hell up. My eyes fluttered towards the clock telling me it was 6:30. I hate Mr. Arley for making me wake up this early just to help him. I glared as I remembered the stupid smirk on his face as I threw off my covers and went in the shower.
I picked out my clothes once finished and laid them out on my bed. I walked towards y vanity and looked myself in the mirror. I furrowed my eyebrows as I studied my face; my dark brown eyes and dark brown hair. I looked very normal. I wasn’t like those gorgeous werewolves you read about in books with exotic multi-coloured eyes or long flowing hair. I sighed.
