Chapter 14
Great. This is just great. The lights had to go out when Mr. Arley went to use the bathroom. So I'm all by myself. In the dark. Have I mentioned that I'm afraid of the dark? No? Really? Are you sure? Okay, I'm really trying to divert the situation. It's a bit embarrassing, isn't it? A soon-to-be-Alpha is afraid of the dark. Now, my wolf is perfectly fine with the dark since it's a wolf but my human on the other hand... Not so much. Why don't you turn into a wolf? You ask? The fact of the matter is I'm on a date and I want to look nice and I would rather look nice in my human form than my wolf form.
"Mr. Arley?" I called out to the darkness. Silence rung in my eyes where tthe former screams and groans of Kenny whom the ghostface was mudering used to exist. "Mr. Arley?!" I called a bit louder and the darkness responded. I stayed rooted to my seat up until about five minutes. I decided to go looking for him.
I walked across my vast, spacious living room and into the hallway when "BOO!" Someone screamed at me. I stood there in shock, my eyes wide until I let out a toe-curling scream, dropped to the floor and went into the foetal position rocking back and forth, back and forth, back and forth... I was calming myself.
"Melissa? Mellissaa?" Mr. Arley's voice warily said in the distance. I wasn't listening. I was focusing on getting my heartbeat back to normal. I could feel my heart slowing down when a hand rested on my shoulder and it sped back up again. "Shh..." He hushed me quietly. I grabbed his shirt and clung to his chest still rocking to a silent beat- back and forth, back and forth, back and forth....
I slowly came to a halt and looked at the close proximity that Mr. Arley was at. We stared into eachothers eyes- his crystal blue and mine chocolate brown. I could feel his breath tickle my cheek and my hairs on the back of my neck rose. I looked down at his lips ad licked my own subconciously.
"Are you okay now, Melissa?" He asked me cautiously. I gulped loudly not tearing my gaze away from his lips. There were getting closer at an impeccably fast rate. Then suddenly, his lips were softly pressed against mine. It remained like that for a few seconds until we couldn't take it anymore and we were kissing eachother passionately. I slowly leant forward making him lay down on the wooden panel flooring so I was straddling him whilst not breaking the kiss.
And there we were at it on the floor. I pulled away quickly and laughed at his moan and then leant in again but quickly pulled away. He soon grew tried of my teasing and grabbed my face and kissed me twice as intensely as before. I went back up for air with a huge grin on my face breathing in deeply, watching his chest rise and fall rapidly.
"Maybe you should check the fuse box and get the elctricity back on." I suggested still straddling him.
"Nope, I'm fine right here." He smirked putting his hands on my waist ready to drag me back down but I resisted.
"We're getting up." I said and stood up and hovered over him while he gave me what I think was a puppy dog face. "You know, if the light was on, i'd probably give in since then I would able to see how cute your puppy dog face really was." I told him with a smug smile. He sighed and finally stood up.
"Fine." He sighed dramatically. "If you're that desperate to see my gorgeous face, I may just have to do this to spare me the endless pleas of 'Please, Ben, Please Can I see your face?' " He mocked and it earned him a giggle. If it was anyone else, I'd probably sock 'em.
"Seriously, Mr. Arley, Seriously?" I said dryly at his ridiculous impression.
"Argh!" He screamed in mock agony. "Please don't call me Mr. Arley. It makes me sound just so old." As he spat the word old, he gave out a shudder.
"But aren't all teachers old and baldng and have coffee breath?" I said innocently. He glared at me while I led the way to the fuse box.
"Don't you ever utter the word 'balding' around me? I am only 19! I'm still a teenager thank you very much." he said in his teacher voice. He grabbed my wrist and twisted me to face him. "And about that coffee breath, you be the judge." He whispered. He let out a cool, minty blow in my face making me shudder. I slowly closed my eyes and controlled my urge to pounce on him. I quickly turned away from him and continued down the dark hallway.
"So, anyway, Mr-" I scolded myself. "Ben, the fuse box is just down here. You do know how to work a fuse box, right?" I asked him.
"Really, Melissa, Really?"
