Chapter Twelve

Jeremy

I jumped out of the car instantly needing to use the bathroom. I rushed into the house and went straight upstairs and in my bedroom stood the most beautiful specimen I had ever seen. She had dirty blonde hair, full lips and little freckles that travelled all over her face. Her eyes shone a clear blue as she smiled at me. She wore a Varsity cardigan which covered up her white dress that reached mid-thigh. She took small steps towards me, gliding like an angel.

“Hello.” She said to me softly. “I’m Sarah.” She gave me her hand and I shook it. A shock current shot through both of us and we stepped apart. My mouth opened slightly but she brought a finger to my mouth telling me to shush.

“Jeremy!” I heard my sister call from downstairs. Sarah’s eyes grew in panic but then her face fell into a smirk but she shook her head telling me not to answer. She gazed deep into my eyes and I could feel her taking over me and I was giving it to her willingly. I wanted to be hers and nothing more. Everything became hazy and distant. It was just like I was on some type of drug. The Angel was my drug.

She took hold of my hand and led me out of my room and up the stairs where the attic lay. I banged into the side table on the way and Sarah gave out a little giggle before shushing me. I obeyed to her.

“Jeremy, this isn’t funny now!” My sister called again from far away but it served me no purpose. I didn’t call back. I didn’t yell. I didn’t have to; all I needed was right here where I needed it. Melissa walked up the attic staircase and came into our sight.

“It’s funny seeing you here, Melissa.” My angel snarled at my sister while stroking my arm. I didn’t move at all; I barely breathed. I couldn’t she was touching me and I was paralysed with lust.

“What have you done to him?” my sister hissed. “What are you doing here?” She breathed out.

Melissa (Carried on from Chapter Eleven)

A twisted cackle came from where Sarah laid. She had a smile of sheer pleasure right across her face. Slowly, she crept up off the floor and looked between me and Brent. Her eyes landed on Brent and she licked her lips, seductively. I glanced quickly at Brent and could see he was obviously entranced by her beauty. It was hard not too, her blonde hair simmered in the sunlight that peaked through the skylight as it flew from the draught of the door being wide open. Her white dress went along with the small breeze as she clung to her oversized varsity cardigan.

“Oh, Brent, it’s nice to see you again.” I grimaced at her whilst she smiled innocently at Brent. He stood as still as possible. “You know, you never got to tell me exactly what you are. Are you going to now?” She smiled gliding towards us. He shook his head stiffly. “Oh, isn’t that a shame?” she pouted. She shrugged her shoulders and went back to stand next to my brother. “I believe you are familiar with my mate.” She said nonchalantly. “I came here looking to kill you and I find that your brother is in fact my mate. How ironic is that?” She squealed clapping her hands together.

“Okay, here’s the deal.” She said to me. “My mother needs a vessel. I needed one before but that was before the whole ‘I found my mate.’ My mom can go because she is fully maenad and all but I though because I am half maenad I wouldn’t get one and boom, here he is.” She looked at my brother who was still in his freaky trance. “Anyways, let’s get back to business. My mother needs a vessel and since we are practically family now, I won’t make Mr. Arley be hers.” She said to me smiling that sickly sweet smile of hers.

“What’s the catch?” I asked her suspiciously. “You kept saying that your mother needed a vessel. What has that got to do with me?” I asked putting my hands in my denim jean shorts. I tilted my head to the side as I watched another freaking smirk cross her evil face.
