That afternoon, Paige has finished her classes for the day and she and her friends head to the dance studio for their second class. Once the girls head inside, Liz and her friends talked about the call-back of the dance try-outs.
"I hope I'll be that professional dancer's new partner.", Liz replied. Fay rolled her eyes with annoyance, and Paige and Jessica just stood there and listen. "Come on, let's go into class.", Paige sighed, as she and her friends went into the dance classroom.
As Paige and her friends settle in and ready for their dance lessons, Sky and Glen came into the classroom, and Sky saw Paige in the group. Paige saw him too, and she whispers to her friends about him. "That's the professional dancer, who is seeking for a new partner.", Paige replied.
Fay and Jessica look and is shocked. "Holy shit.", Fay replied. "Oh my gosh, it's Sky Taylor!", Jessica cried. "Wait, you know this guy?", Paige asked. "Of course, he's one of the best and greatest dancers in the academy. I hear that he won a lot of dancing competitions in the past", Jessica replied.
"I hear that he took some time off from dancing due to a car accident injury.", Fay replied. "Good afternoon, class. I have 2 special announcements to make.", Glen replied. "In this class, I'm officially announcing that today is my last day of teaching this class and I'm going to retire.", Glen replied.
Everyone is shock about the news, including Sky. "But you will have a new dance instructor to take over my class. Sky, come on out!", Glen called out. Sky step forward and stood next to Glen. "Class, please welcome to your new dance instructor, Sky Taylor!", Glen replied, which surprises Sky.
Everyone clap and cheer for Sky, as he's now officially a dance instructor of the academy. "And Sky here has a special announcement about the call-back of the dance try-outs. Sky?", Glen smiled. Sky step forward to announce his new partner.
"To those who did the try-outs, thank you for being apart of it and sadly I can only choose one of you as my new dance partner. I have thought about it and I have already made my decision.", Sky replied. Liz smiles with excitement, hoping that Sky would call out her name, while Paige stood there.
Sky looks at Paige and called out for her "Paige Smith!.", he called out. Everyone gasp in shock, including Liz. "What?!", Liz asked in shock. "Paige, come out!", Glen called out. "Oh my God!", Fay cried, as she and Jessica tries to take her up. Paige then walks out of the crowd and join Sky by his side.
"Congratulations, Paige. You are now officially my new dance partner.", Sky smiled, as he put his arm around Paige's shoulder, looking at her with a smile. Paige looks at him and smiles back. Everyone applaud for Paige and Sky, except for Liz and her friends, who stood there with annoyance.
"Right everyone, today we'll be dancing in pairs, so when I call your names, you both will be each other's partners.", Glen replied, as he began calling out names and pairing each student into pairs. Jessica is paired with JJ, and Fay is paired with Travis.
As Sky and Paige are being paired together. "So, we meet again, here at the dance studio.", Sky smiled. "I'm just surprised that you go to this dance academy, and not only that, but everyone seems to know who you are.", Paige replied. "You never heard of me?", Sky asked.
"No.", Paige replied. "And you didn't tell me that you're a dancer.", Sky replied. "You didn't ask me.", Paige smiled. Sky smiles at her words. "How long have you been dancing for?", Sky asked. "Since I was 4.", Paige replied. "Oh, I was 5 when I started dancing.", Sky smiled.
"Really?", Paige asked. "Yeah, just like you.", Sky replied. Sky and Paige instantly got along well, and asking each other questions about their dancing careers. Liz watch from the distance, while dancing with her partner, and is annoyed to see Sky and Paige together.
After class, Paige and her friends left the classroom together and prepare to head back to NYU. As they walk out, a couple walks right past them, and the boyfriend saw Paige, and immediately recognises her. "Paige!", he called out. Paige and her friends stop and she turns and looks at him.
To her surprise, it's her uncle, Jasper. "Uncle Jasper!", Paige cried, as she runs up to him, as he opens his arms for her. "Hey, kiddo!", Jasper smiled, as Paige hugs him, wrapping her arms around his neck. Jasper then lifts her up in his arms, before putting her back down.
"It's good to see you again, kiddo.", Jasper smiled. "Me too, Uncle Jasper.", Paige smiled. "I heard that you're here for college. NYU?", Jasper asked. "Yes.", Paige smiled. "Congratulations, sweetheart.", Jasper replied, giving Paige a kiss on the head. Fay clears her throat to get Paige's attention.
"Oh, guys. This is my uncle, Jasper. Uncle Jasper, these are my friends, Jessica and Fay.", Paige replied. "Nice to meet you, girls. I'm happy to hear that my beautiful niece has made friends in college.", Jasper replied. Then Jasper notice his girlfriend, Emma behind him.
"Oh, Paige, this is Emma, one of the instructors here, also my dance partner and girlfriend. Em, this is my niece, Paige, Lily's daughter.", Jasper replied. "Hello, Paige. It's finally to meet you. Your uncle has told me a lot about you and how you love to dance like your mom.", Emma smiled.
"Thank you.", Paige giggled. "And I hear that you are Sky Taylor's new dance partner.", Jasper replied. "Yep, she is.", Fay smiled. "Lucky you, kiddo.", Jasper smiled. "Anyways, we're leaving and heading back to NYU.", Paige replied. "Well, I was about to head home, but I want to catch up with you, and want to know what you've been up to.", Jasper replied.
"Ok, let me go back to NYU to change and I'll meet you outside NYU?", Paige asked. "Sure. See you later, kiddo.", Jasper replied, as he and Emma leaves, and Paige and her friends return to NYU. Later, Paige change her clothes and went outside NYU to meet Jasper, who is waiting for her outside.
Jasper and Paige walked around Central Park, where they sat on the grass and enjoy an ice cream. "How's your dad?", Jasper asked. "He's good. I've been keeping touch with him everyday. But he still wouldn't let me follow the same path as Mom.", Paige sighed. "Hmm. Still stubborn as he is before.", Jasper sighed.
"Every time he sees me dance, I reminded him of Mom. He's still hurt, Uncle Jasper and I don't know what to do.", Paige sighed. "You know, when your mom died, it also hurt me, especially for a big brother to lose his little sister. But it hurts your dad more than me.", Jasper replied.
"How did you do it?", Paige asked. "What?", Jasper asked. "How did you get over Mom's death?", Paige asked. "Well, I went to a grief counsellor and told her everything how I felt, and in time I got better and soon be able to move on.", Jasper replied. "Do you think Dad should go and see a counsellor?", Paige asked.
"That's not my call, Paige. It's your Dad's. It's up to him if he wants to see a counsellor. But I recommend you to encourage him to see one.", Jasper replied. "Anyways, enough about me. What about you? How long have you and Emma been together?", Paige asked.
"About 3 years now.", Jasper asked. "Ok.", Paige smiled. "We meet at the studio and became each other's dance partners and soon, a month later, we started dating.", Jasper replied. "Well, I'm happy for you.", Paige smiled. "Thanks, kiddo.", Jasper asked. Jasper and Paige sat there for a while and even watch the sunset.
"I've never seen the sunset this pretty.", Paige sighed. "You never seen the sunset like this back in Chicago?", Jasper asked. "No. But here is better.", Paige smiled, which made Jasper laugh. "Come on, let's go and get some dinner.", Jasper smiled, as he gets up and help Paige up, and they left the park together.
