Strictly Dancing

The Regionals

A week later, it's the Regionals and Paige is ready to complete the competition with Sky. On the day of the Regionals, Paige and her friends wake up early in the morning and get ready for the competition. Jasper and Emma went to NYU to pick them up and take them to the studio. 

At the studio, Paige and her friends are waiting in the classroom, as Sky arrives inside. "Good morning, everyone.", Sky called out. "Good morning, Sky.", everyone replied at the same time. "Today is Regionals and I hope you're ready for one of the biggest dance competitions of all times.", Sky replied. 

"You all have 5 minutes to go to the bathroom, before we head out, and the bus is waiting for us to get onboard. So go to the bathroom right now, cause the bus will be leaving in 5 minutes.", Sky replied. Everyone went to the bathroom and then head out of the bus to get onboard.

As Paige and her friends got onboard the bus, Jasper and Emma are right behind her, and Jasper sat next to Paige. "Hey.", Jasper replied. "Hi, aren't you suppose to be sitting next to Emma?", Paige asked. "Yeah, I am. I just want to see if you're ready for Regionals.", Jasper replied. 

"You know me, Uncle Jasper. I'm always ready for any competition. I can't wait for Dad to come and see me today.", Paige replied. Then Jasper became silent for a bit. "Uhh, Paige. About that. Your dad isn't coming to see you compete.", Jasper replied. Paige became speechless. 

"What?", she asked. "I'm sorry, Paige. But he told me that he won't be coming.", Jasper replied. "Why didn't he tell me that he wasn't coming?", Paige asked. "I guess he didn't want to upset you and break the news that he isn't coming, and I guess he didn't want to see you dance, because...", Jasper sighed. 

"Because of my mom.", Paige sighed. "Yeah. I'm so sorry, kiddo.", Jasper sighed. Paige is sad and devastated that her dad refuse to come and support her, and Jasper comforts her with a hug, and Emma comforts her from behind. Then Sky comes in and saw Paige being comfort in Jasper's arms. 

"Hey, what's going on?", Sky asked. Paige and Jasper didn't say a word, until Emma spoke. "Paige's dad is not coming to see her perform today.", Emma replied. "Oh no. Are you ok, Paige?", Sky asked. "Yeah, she'll be ok.", Jasper sighed, as he continues to embrace Paige. 

"You ok, kiddo?", Jasper asked. "Yeah, I'm ok.", Paige sighed. "You want me to sit with you during the ride?", Jasper asked. "No, it's fine, Uncle Jasper. You can sit next to Emma.", Paige replied. "You sure?", Jasper asked. "Yeah.", Paige smiled. "Don't worry, man. I'll sit next to her.", Sky replied. 

"Ok, I'll be behind you, if you need me.", Jasper replied, as he gets up and sat next to Emma, right behind Paige and Sky, who sat next to her. "Don't worry about your dad, you'll be ok.", Sky sighed. Paige didn't say a word, and the bus took them to the venue where the Regionals Competition is held. 

When everyone arrives to the venue, there are loads of different dancing schools from all over America. Paige is nervous and anxious of being apart of a big competition, but she's also excited. Paige and her friends get ready into their dance costume, for their first dance number, which is a solo performance. 

Emma helps Paige get ready into her costume for her solo performance, and even style her hair and does her make up. Paige's jazz costume is a black sequin crop top with a gold belt, a gold sequin mini skirt and black knee-high length stiletto boots. 

After getting her costume, hair and make up done, Jasper and Sky comes in to check on her. "Are you ready, kiddo?", Jasper asked. "Yep, I'm ready to go.", Paige replied. Jasper looks at Paige's dance costume. "What do you think, Uncle Jasper?", Paige asked. "It's perfect, just I imagined.", Jasper smiled. 

"The boots are sick.", Sky replied. "Yeah, they're very high and pretty dangerous.", Emma replied. "It can be used as a weapon.", Jasper replied with a laugh. Emma laugh at his words and Paige giggles. Later Paige leaves the changing room and wait for her turn to perform. While she waited in line, Liz arrives after finishing her solo performance.
