One late night, Paige returns to the academy, where Jasper is packing up for the night. She slowly walks inside, and greets him. "Hey, Uncle Jasper.", Paige greeted. "Oh, hey, kiddo. What are you doing here?", Jasper asked. "Oh, just wanted to see you, and how's class going.", Paige replied.

"Same as always, Fay and her sister are still fighting, which droves me crazy! I had to take over Sky's classes, since Sky never showed up.", Jasper replied. "Oh. Why?", Paige asked. "I guess he's still not over you, and from what I heard is that he has been suffering from depression for the last 2 months.", Jasper replied. This shocks Paige.

"Is he ok?", Paige asked. "I don't know, kiddo. I haven't seen or heard from him since you two broke up.", Jasper sighed. "I see, is he able to compete at Nationals?", Paige asked.

"I don't know, kiddo. He's in a really bad way, so I don't think so, I don't know how you'll going to perform the duet without him. So maybe you need to look for a new partner to dance to another routine", Jasper replied.

"Uncle Jasper?", Paige asked. "Yeah?", Jasper asked. "Can you teach me the contemporary dance routine that you did with Mom, a long time ago. The won that you did at Nationals and won?", Paige asked. "The contemporary?", Jasper asked.

"Yeah, the one to that Christina Grimmie song. Maybe I can dance that performance at Nationals.", Paige replied. "But you need a partner to do this dance.", Jasper replied. "Maybe you can be my dance partner for Nationals.", Paige replied. "I don't know, Paige. I haven't danced to that routine since your mother passed away.", Jasper sighed.

"But, Uncle Jasper, Nationals isn't that far ahead, and I need you to help me win this. If Mom was here, she would've want you teach me and dance with me to this routine.", Paige replied. After a silent moment, Jasper smiles at Paige. "You know what? You're right. So yes, I'll be your partner at Nationals.", Jasper smiled, which delights Paige.

Paige hugs Jasper with joy. "Thank you, Uncle Jasper.", Paige sighed. "No, Paige. Thank you.", Jasper replied. "For what?", Paige asked. "For giving me the courage. You remind me of your mother every single day, and seeing you dance, makes me so happy.", Jasper sighed, as he held Paige's face in his hands. Paige smile at his words.

"Come on, let's get to work.", Jasper replied, as he takes Paige's cane from her hand and plays I Only Miss You When I Breathe by Christina Grimmie on the Bluetooth speaker, before putting his hand out to Paige, who takes it and they go up to the dance floor.

As the song plays through, Paige is able to learn the whole dance moves in just a few hours and is able to nail every move that her mother did. As Jasper dances with Paige, he remembers the day he and Lily dance to the routine at a dance competition when they were young, and is now dancing to it again, but with Paige.

Paige is able to dance again, without the pain in her leg stopping her. As the song ends, Paige and Jasper do their final poses. "You did it!", Jasper replied. "I did it!", Paige cried, as she jumps on Jasper, for a hug. "I'm so proud of you, kiddo.", Jasper replied.

So, Paige and Jasper start practising their routine, as days until Nationals pass by.
