The age difference was obvious. One was young and spunky. The other old and slow. They played together like sisters, though, chasing and fighting over the same toy.
The toy was a doll. Purple hair. Yellow dress. Green pants. That was all irrelevant. All that mattered was that the other wanted it. It got vicious at times. There were growls and bites. Never malicious, though. Always in good fun.
There was no winner. There never truly is. They just play and play until they pass out, nestled into each other on the couch. That's just the life of a dog.
