The couple knew they should have brought a map on their hike. Or a compass, at least. They didn't think the woods were that big. There was no way they could get lost, which, of course, was exactly what happened. They got turned around so many times they didn't have the slightest clue as to where to go. Every tree looked the same, until the sunlight waned and darkness enveloped the forest. That was when the laughter began. The branches swayed in the wind, giggling at the wandering travelers, taunting the fact that they would never find their way home.
