Staring at the blank wall through the dark room, Cassia felt like her chest was closing in as memories clouded her vision at the early hours of the morning. Images of Cepheus hitting her, doing drugs with her, having intoxicated sex with her, threatening her, everything that occurred in the last months of their relationship flooding her mind.

It had been so long since she got like this. After trying so hard to just push that aspect of her life down the drain completely, it was obvious it was no use. Especially not with him back in her presence for what was obvious would be a long time. Since it was clear he wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon.

"Knock knock." Glancing up, she watched as her room door slowly pushed open before her lamp was flicked on. Causing a dim light to shine over the room.

"What took you so long?" The evident irritation in her voice caused Cepheus to cringe. Nibbling on his bottom lip, he could barely bring himself to look at her.

"Nerves was getting to me cause I ain't know what you want to talk about. What happened?" He didn't need to see to much of her or hear her voice to know she wasn't okay. This behavior from her being common, each time she felt stressed or overwhelmed she just sat in the dark and stared at the walls.

"I feel like I just- there's so much that we haven't spoken on and until we talk about it...it as in everything, the tension is going to stay there." Cassia sighed, staring at Cepheus with an apologetic expression. She didn't want it to come off as though she was just trying to be a bitch all the time but it was difficult, pieces of their puzzle still not being fixed together.

Looking down towards his feet, Cepheus took a couple steps inside before shutting and locking the door behind him. Glancing up at the clock in her room it read 2:32 am. "2:32...we used to always wake up at this exact time." He chuckled, Cassia giving him a weak smile before clearing her throat.

"Yup" She mumbled, her eyes glued to her hands that rested in her lap, until she felt a weight coming down on the bed. His presence being felt next to her making her feel a little peaceful, the tension that she was feeling in her muscles relaxing. Her heart speed up in her chest as she hesitantly looked up at him, the look that he was giving her forcing her to feel small under his stare.

"I miss you...I miss us. Before everything went down the way it did." Adjusting herself in the bed, Cassia pulled her legs up to her chest with her back resting against the headboard. Wrapping her arms around her legs, her chin rested on her knees as she looked at him. He sat with his feet pressed into the ground, his hands resting on his thighs while his eyes never left hers.

"Well, you're the reason there is no us so I don't really know what you want me to say." Cassia started, her words coming out harsh but he knew he deserved it.

"I know-."

"Do you really know though? Like...have you sat and thought about the entirety of our relationship and how much of a left it went in just a day? And to this day I still can't understand why it all happened, straight abuse, cheating, lying, and bullshit for what, 5 months? I understand it sparked from the death of your mother, but what I don't understand is why that all had to be taken out on me Cepheus. From the first day we met I assured you that I just wanted to be there for you, that only increasing once we actually got into a relationship." Pausing, Cassia took a deep breath once feeling the tears begin to well up in her eyes, but she didn't even attempt to stop them. Knowing it would be no use.
