"Cepheus...what the hell." Cassia whispered, her eyes scanning each and every wall that she could see in her direct view. She was speechless, although she knew she should've been used to everything concerning him being beyond expectations, considering he never shied away from his money.
Laying a sleeping Zahir on one couch and Crystal on the other, Cepheus grabbed 2 blankets to cover them. Since their rooms were all the way upstairs and he didn't feel like going up there as of yet, he chose to let them sleep there.
"You straight?" He raised an eyebrow, while grabbing the remote on the middle living room table to turn on the electrical fire place. Putting Christian's car seat down next to the couch Zahir slept on, Cassia still barely knew what to say.
"...This is not your house." Cracking a small smile, Cepheus walked up towards her with his hands stuffed in his sweatpants pockets. Glancing around himself, he nodded in satisfaction at the house, since he hadn't been back there since the day Cassia agreed to let him stay with her.
The only reason he was back now with both her and the kids was because a random chemical leak happened in Cassia's house. Her and the kids were asleep, but Cepheus was up because he was doing a little more diving on Eric while on the phone with Brittany. Everything was fine until he began to smell something that was off, and it didn't take long for him to know it was some type of chemical. They weren't sure where it came from, but they went with it being a leak since Cassia didn't want to think the worst. And now they were at Cepheus' house after getting some of their things together and evacuating the house. Cassia hadn't called anyone yet to take care of it because it was 2 in the morning, but she planned on it as soon as the morning came.
"Nah, this mine." He spoke cockily, standing directly in front of her while leaning up against the back of Crystal's couch.
"How much was this house?"
"A good 35" Widening her eyes, Cassia almost screamed because she knew he wasn't talking about thousands.
"35 million?! In real dollars?!" Running his hand over the top of his head, Cepheus stared at her like she was dumb.
"Nah, in Monopoly money Cassia. What the hell do you think?" Scrunching up here face, she mushed his head before turning to walk deeper into the house.
"It's like every house is better than the other." She mumbled, running her hand along one of the paintings on the wall. Letting out a small yawn, Cepheus leaned down to grab a squirming Christian from out of his car seat, before following Cassia around the living room. Making sure not to go too far because he didn't want to leave Crystal and Zahir alone. Especially not now, being that he had a couple ideas as to what exactly happened with the "chemical leak," but he chose to keep those to himself for right now.
