"You needed this shit, and no offense but I'm glad she got you going through this stage right now." Anthony said, causing Cepheus to snap his neck in his direction to look at him as though he'd lost his mind.
"Nigga gon tell me he glad my girl stopped fucking with me, but you supposed to be my brother. All y'all niggas fake." Cepheus shook his head, going back to cleaning off his beretta. Smacking his lips, Anthony hit him upside the head before placing his focus back on what he had previously been doing.
"I don't mean it like that bitch, I mean it in a sense of you really understanding what you got. I don't doubt that before this situation you understood, cause we all seen that you was definitely changing a lot in the aspect of your relationship. But this? The petty shit, the uncalled for drama, the other bitches, the little jealousy schemes, I'm real proud to see you hung all that shit up. She ain't deserve it, and it's nice to see you taking the mature route for once." Nodding his head, Cepheus took a pull from his blunt while pushing his gun to the side to clean off his other one.
"I mean, she was 2 seconds away from becoming my wife. So during that time period where we was counting down days to tie that knot, I did a lot of working on myself until the bomb dropped of Josiah. But even then, I wasn't bout to give up on her. I'm giving that girl my last name if it's the last thing I do, do you know how much I love her?" Letting out a small yawn, Anthony leaned back amused.
He liked to see his friend get like this, considering it was so different and still new for him to witness. Especially being able to watch his growth in real time with this one specific relationship, for Anthony it was a beautiful thing to see. Starting off strong with childish antics, then everything flipping upside down, to Cassia gaining confidence while Cepheus worked on trying to understand the concept of love with her, more ups and downs, and now this. What seemed to be the final stages in that path of growth.
"I mean I think so-."
"No...nigga I'm so in love with her. I can't breathe without that girl-."
"You so corny and dramatic, you don't need her ass to breathe." Snapping his neck in Anthony's direction, Cepheus tilted his head to look at him as if he was stupid.
"So why I'm struggling to breathe right now? Just cause you can't see shit don't mean I ain't struggling, I just know how to control it cause I been suffocating for 6 months now." Running his hand down his face, Anthony only nodded his head because he didn't feel like going back and forth about this.
"I'm surprised she ain't kick you out the house the way she been on your ass." Sucking his teeth, Cepheus took another pull from his blunt before raising his head to exhale.
"She let up a little bit since I did the lil thing for her- she better had after I done apologized in the clouds. She should've took me the fuck back after seeing that, no reason why I should still be here hounding her to try and get in her good graces." He complained, shaking his head in disbelief.
