"Mommy it hurts." Crystal sniffled, her hand slowly going up to wipe her damp face. Glancing back from trying to gather a small heated towel for her, Cassia let out a small breath while dropping everything that was in her hands.

Moving a piece of her hair from her face, she stared down at Crystal, whose bright brown eyes beamed up at her. Reaching behind her, Cassia grabbed the nearest chair to pull up right next to the hospital bed, sitting down so they were at each other's level.

"I know it hurts, and it's going to hurt for a little bit until you get better. But since mommy's a doctor, I think we can get you back going a little sooner than you think." Cassia smiled, her hand caressing the top of Crystal's head gently. She could see in her eyes that she was filled with a bunch of unexplainable emotions, the trauma of it all probably settling in her head from what she just went through.

"...I didn't want to wake back up." Crystal spoke just above a whisper, her head lowered towards her lap as her eyes welled up with tears. Furrowing her eyebrows, Cassia scooted to the edge of her seat to be a little closer to her.

"What do you mean?" She asked, swallowing down hard as soon as the question left her mouth. The thought of her oldest child possibly wanting death more than wanting to walk Earth caused her to feel sick, especially because she had never gotten the idea or thought that Crystal wanted anything less than to be living.

"I don't-." Being cut off by a small knock on the door before it opened, both Cassia and Crystal looked up. The first thing they seen were his tattoos, Cassia immediately turning back around while a small smile spread on Crystal's face. "Hi daddy." She greeted him with a small wave, allowing him to come closer to her and lean down to give her a kiss on her forehead.

"How you feeling baby?" Scooting her chair to the right a little bit, Cassia kept her eyes on Crystal and Crystal only, completely ignoring the small glare Cepheus gave her. Taking a deep breath, she crossed her legs over each other with her arm propped up on the small table next to the bed.

"It hurts...but mommy said it'll get better." She spoke softly, her voice dull and dry. Blinking rapidly, Cassia glanced towards the ground to gather herself.

"Crystal, do you want to maybe continue telling me what you were telling me before your father came in?" Cassia cut in, genuinely needing to understand what was going on. Glancing between the both of them, Cepheus took a couple steps backwards to sit down on the small couch on the wall.

"I don't want you to be mad at me." She spoke nearly inaudibly, the tears welling back up in her eyes as she stared at her fingers in her lap.

"I would never be mad at you for being honest with me, I just want to help you." Cassia whispered, leaning over to give Crystal a kiss on her cheek to reassure her that she could say whatever she needed to say. Raising an eyebrow, Cepheus sat up in his seat due to the confusion he felt.
